NBA Playoffs Player Prop Bets, Odds & Picks: Tuesday (4/22)
There are three NBA playoff games tonight, beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET with the Indiana Pacers hosting the Milwaukee Bucks. Will Myles Turner have another great game from beyond the arc in that one?
In the next game of the night, Isaiah Hartenstein will look to build off a great Game 1, as his Oklahoma City Thunder attempt to mount a 2-0 lead over the Memphis Grizzlies. In the final game, LeBron James will fight to keep his Los Angeles Lakers from falling into a 0-2 hole against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Here are the three best NBA player props for Tuesday, April 22nd.
Tuesday’s Best NBA Player Prop Bets
This Season: 58-69 (-6.90 units) | Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook
Isaiah Hartenstein Over 19.5 Points + Rebounds (-115)
In Game 1 against the Grizzlies, Isaiah Hartenstein pulled down eight rebounds and scored 14 points in just 21 minutes. Since this is a player who averaged nearly 28 minutes per game this season, he should see more action tonight as long as the Grizzlies can keep it remotely close. Yet, even if he only plays 20 minutes, he's already proven he gets near his season averages.
Considering the success Hartenstein has had against the Grizzlies this season, this prop is the best play of the day. He recorded a double-double in three of his four regular-season games against Memphis. In the one game where he fell short, he scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds. This line is probably set one or two lower than it should be, which means it's also worth looking at Hartenstein to go over 24.5 combined points + rebounds for +270.
Myles Turner Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+115)
Myles Turner went 4-of-6 from deep in Game 1, and he should see similar success tonight. The Pacers big man averaged 2.2 made threes per game during the regular season, as he shot 39.6% from long range.
Turner didn't always shoot well against the Bucks during the regular season, making at least three three-pointers in just one of his four games. However, he made at least two in three of those four games, and he put up a lot of shots from deep, which should be the case again tonight.
In four games, Turner attempted 28 threes, and he never attempted fewer than five in a game. He may not shoot as well as he did in Game 1, but for this price, it's worth taking a chance on Turner to come close to that mark against a team he's had success against.
LeBron James Under 6.5 Assists (-125)
LeBron James dished out just three assists in Game 1, as his struggles against the Timberwolves carried over into the postseason. Despite ranking sixth in the league in assists per game during the regular season, James has had almost no success against the Timberwolves this season. Including the postseason, he's played against them four times, and he's never recorded more than six assists in a game.
The Timberwolves finished the regular season allowing the fifth-fewest assists per game in the league. Therefore, it's unlikely James' fortunes are going to change tonight. Maybe he'll have one game in this series where he gets to his season average in assists, but this is a bad matchup for him. Taking his under is the right play for every game.
