Orlando Magic at Boston Celtics
- Leg 1: Celtics -10.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Jaylen Brown 22+ Points (-120)
- Leg 3: Magic Under 93.5 Points (-118)
The Magic kept this game close in the first half and even held a lead going into halftime. The Celtics did what championship teams do by making adjustments, and a 30-18 advantage in the third quarter helped them pull away and never look back.
Despite Orlando having one of the best defenses in the league, Boston was able to spread the ball and create open shots. That's what will make it tough for not only Orlando but also any team to beat the Celtics. It's because they slow down the pace on offense, make multiple passes moving the ball, because they trust each player's ability to score.
Boston’s defense isn't one-dimensional; it is sixth in adjusted defensive rankings. Orlando’s offense isn't strong enough to compete with Boston’s firepower, ranking 27th in adjusted offense.
It looks like the Celtics will not have Tatum due to a bone bruise he suffered in Game 1. Although the Celtics would love to have him, this starting lineup has many options, and these are the times when Jaylen Brown shines.

Miami Heat at Cleveland Cavaliers
- Leg 1: Over 211.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Donovan Mitchell 26+ Points (-125)
- Leg 3: Heat Alternative Over 98.5 Points (-122)
For most of Game 1, it was never entirely out of reach for the Heat, but by the fourth quarter, they ran out of steam. Cleveland pulled away late for a 121-100 win. Miami doesn't have the offensive options to keep up with Cleveland, which was able to move the ball well and find shots. The struggle for most of this season was Miami's ability to guard the perimeter. We saw the Cavaliers' guards have a fantastic day with Donovan Mitchell scoring 30 points, Darius Garland with 27, and Ty Jerome coming off the bench with 28 points in just 26 minutes.
Miami has trouble against faster teams because it cannot slow the pace of play down. They cannot make this into a high-scoring game because they do not have the offensive capabilities to contend. As long as both teams continue to score over 100 points, Miami's chances of winning dwindle.

Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets
If you looked back at the last time the Rockets and Warriors played in the regular season, you would think that the Houston defense would be up for the challenge, but that did not happen in Game 1.
In the last matchup before the playoffs against Houston, Stephen Curry shot 1-for-10; in Game 1, he went 12-for-19, including 5-for-9 from three.
The Warriors were efficient on offense, shooting 47% from the field and 37% from three. This was a low-scoring game, and Houston usually has a great chance to win when it keeps its opponents under 100 points, as they are 14-2 this season in that scenario. While they were able to take advantage of Golden State's lack of presence in the paint, they couldn't hit from outside.
Even with Houston playing their type of basketball at home, the Warriors still controlled this game. This won’t be a shootout, but we could see more points in this game than the last one.
