We went 5-1 with our NBA preseason picks yesterday. I'm still looking for that perfect day, though. Let's see if we can get there with tonight’s two NBA preseason games.

Thursday's Best NBA Preseason Picks & Predictions
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Toronto Raptors (+170) at New York Knicks (-205) | O/U 228.5 (-105/-115)
Many of New York's stars are on the injury report, including Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges. With or without them, I expect the Knicks are going to be looking for their bench to show some life.
Also, the Knicks are 0-4 this preseason, and I find it unlikely they won't win a single contest before the regular season starts. With the Knicks being at home, I believe they can find a way to triumph here. I also expect they'll rely on defense to get it done.
Picks: Knicks -5.5 (-110) & Under 228.5 Points (-115)
Oklahoma City Thunder (-180) at Houston Rockets (+150) | O/U 223.5 (-115/-105)
As of this morning, 76% of bets were on the Rockets to cover the 4.5-point spread, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. So I'm fading the public and going with the Thunder on the road here.
The Thunder started the preseason with three consecutive losses but beat Indiana 114-112 in overtime in their latest contest on Tuesday. I wonder if Oklahoma City’s reserves are finding a better rhythm as the preseason has progressed.
Plus, Houston's only preseason games thus far have been against Dallas in China. The latest of those contests was on Sunday. I wonder if this Rockets team may still need more time to fully recover from that trip.
Picks: Thunder -4.5 (-112) & Over 223.5 Points (-115)
