Monday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Player Predictions

This Season: 1-2 (-1.04 units)

Kyle Kuzma More Than 1.5 Three-Pointers Made

Kyle Kuzma has yet to make a three-pointer this season, shooting 0-of-9 from deep in his first two games. He's shooting just 28.1% from the floor to start the year, but this slump won't last long. After all, Kuzma averaged 2.2 made three-pointers per game last season, and he shot 46.3% from the floor.

Tonight, he takes on the Hawks and their lackluster three-point defense. They're allowing opponents to shoot 40.3% from deep to start the year, which is third-worst in the league. In three games, the Hawks have also allowed opponents to knock down 54 three-pointers. Kuzma will get back into last season's form in this contest. It may even be worth taking him to go for more than 2.5 or 3.5 if the price is right.

Alperen Sengun 5+ Assists

Alperen Sengun dished out five assists in his first game of the season, but he's dished out just two assists in each of his last two games. On Saturday, he only had two assists against the Spurs, but he also played just 22 minutes, 11 minutes fewer than the average of his first two games of the year. With Sengun expected to play his usual minutes tonight, this is a great matchup.

Last year, Sengun had at least four assists in both of his games against the Spurs, recording seven assists in one of his meetings with them. The Spurs currently rank sixth in the league, allowing just 22.5 assists per game. But based on what Sengun did in limited minutes on Saturday, he's already proven he can get assists in this matchup. The price for more than 3.5 assists is a little steep, so I recommend taking this alt-line instead.

Jaren Jackson Jr. 18+ Points

The matchup between the Bulls and the Grizzlies features two of the worst-scoring defenses to start the season. The Bulls are allowing an average of 119.7 points per game, while the Grizzlies are allowing 121.0. With a high-scoring game in store, it's right to expect the best scorers on each team to hit their more thans, and some may even do so by a significant margin.

Jackson has only played in one of the Grizzlies’ three games this season. He scored 13 points in 23 minutes. Last season, Jackson averaged 32.3 minutes per game, so he should start to see his minutes increase as his hamstring gets healthier. He averaged 22.5 points per game last season, going over 25 in both of his games against the Bulls. The Bulls’ defense is no better than last year, so as long as his playing time goes up, he should score 20. I'll take 18+ because the price is really good.
