Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics
- Leg 1: Celtics -8.5 (-105)
- Leg 2: Celtics Team Total Over 115.5 Points (-108)
- Leg 3: Joel Embiid Over 27.5 Points (-120)
The 76ers’ offense has been awful this year, as they are 27th in offensive efficiency and 29th in points per game. The problem has been injuries; Joel Embiid has played eight games, Paul George has played 17 and Tyrese Macey has played 21. They will be much better when they can get these guys on the court together.
Embiid has struggled to log minutes, playing only 30+ in four games this year. He was ejected early in the last game against the Spurs, so he should be fresh and could play over 30 minutes. Against the Celtics, this matchup means more to him; over his last seven games in Boston, he's averaging 27.4 points and 10.6 rebounds.
This will not be an easy matchup because the Celtics are not feeling a championship hangover. They are the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and have the second-best adjusted Net rating.
They have too many offensive options for the opposing defense to focus on. Jayson Tatum might be their best overall player, but if you lock him down, Jaylen Brown will take over. With Derrick White as facilitator, they have Kristaps Porzingis in the front court, but you must also cover the perimeter against a team that jacks up threes.
Philadelphia is playing better than at the start of the season, but they aren't ready to outscore Boston. The Celtics are one of the top offensive and defensive teams, and they should handle the Sixers, who are still trying to build chemistry.

Denver Nuggets at Phoenix Suns
- Leg 1: Nuggets -2.5 (-112)
- Leg 2: Nikola Jokic 50+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-160)
- Leg 3: Kevin Durant 30+ Points (-130)
The Nuggets are playing like the team we saw raise the Larry O’Brien Trophy a couple of years ago, winning five of the last six games. The offense has been phenomenal during that span, averaging 127.3 points, and the defense has also been excellent, allowing under 100 points twice. One of those games was against the Suns, with a 117-90 win on Monday.
Nikola Jokic continues to be the most vital part of this team. He led the way with 32 points in that win over Phoenix, and he looks like he could win another MVP award. He is just constant, and you expect him to put up solid numbers every game. He leads in MVP odds, averaging 30.9 points (second), 12.5 rebounds (fourth) and 9.7 assists (third) per game.
The Suns are 14-14 and are having a disappointing season due to injuries. Each of their Big 3 has missed time. Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal missed 10 games. Devin Booker will likely miss this one and has already missed the last two. The Suns have lost the previous two games without Booker. They noticeably struggle when any of their top three players miss time.
This will be a tough spot for Phoenix, especially given how well the Nuggets are currently playing. Booker does so much when he has the ball, which opens things up for other players. Now, they don't have him and will face the best basketball player in the world on the court.
