Dallas Mavericks @ Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons have lost three games in a row and look to bounce back at home tonight against the Mavericks, who will be without Dereck Lively and Luka Doncic. Detroit is victorious in five of their last seven home games, while Dallas has four wins in their previous 10 road games.
Dallas concedes over eight more points when playing on the road, two more three-pointers and two more extra turnovers. The Mavericks also dip 5.5 points in regards to defensive rating when playing away from home. The Pistons certainly need to end their current losing streak. Being the healthier of the two teams, we feel Detroit will get the win at home this evening.
Cade Cunningham is the more attractive play on this contest for counting stats. However, it's Tim Hardaway Jr. who gets the opportunity for revenge tonight against his former team, and we only need him to record his current season average for three-pointers. The Detroit small forward has knocked down two baskets from beyond the arc in 10 out of his last 14 games on 40% shooting. Hardaway is averaging 2.5 three-pointers in January on 6.1 attempts per game.
Klay Thompson is on a bit of a heater currently, so we are going to ride the hot hand, so to speak. The Dallas shooting guard has connected on 13 three-pointers over the last two games. In 13 games played in January, Thompson has failed to record two three-pointers in only two of those contests. Detroit allows an average of 14.1 three-pointers when playing at home.

Milwaukee Bucks @ San Antonio Spurs

Milwaukee incurred a tough loss in their last matchup against Portland. Once again, we will be looking to pounce in a bounce-back situation. The Bucks faced the Spurs earlier in the month, where Milwaukee cruised to a 16-point victory. The Bucks have won the last three games against San Antonio. Before the loss to Portland, Milwaukee had won six of their previous seven games.

The Spurs have two wins in their last 10 games, including losses in five out of their last six contests. San Antonio owns the second-worst defensive rating in the last 10 games while allowing the opposition to connect on 48.8% of attempts.

San Antonio is also allowing 123 points to the opposition in their 10 previous games - the most of any team. Milwaukee has scored at least 118 points in six of their last eight games (all resulting in a win). The Bucks are averaging 119.9 points over their last 10 games, while the Spurs have allowed 118+ points in five of their previous six games

Brook Lopez gets a fantastic matchup against a San Antonio squad struggling to stop the opposing center from scoring at will. In the last 30 days, the Spurs are allowing just over 30 points per game to the center position. When these two teams last met on January 8th, Lopez scored 22 points on 47% shooting, with five three-pointers. The Milwaukee center is averaging 15 points when facing San Antonio over the last three meetings.
