Philadelphia 76ers @ Detroit Pistons

These two teams combined for over 237.4 points allowed over their last five games. Detroit alone is conceding over 120 points per game. The Pistons rank fourth over the last five games in regards to pace. While Philadelphia may be one of the slower-paced teams in the league on the season. However, they have jumped up five spots over the last five contests.
The Pistons are allowing over 122 points in their previous 10 contests at home. Detroit covers the over/under 52% of the time when playing at home, while Philadelphia is covering at almost a 60% clip when playing on the road.
Tyrese Maxey has been on "God Mode" for a month now. Since January 16th, the Philadelphia guard has been averaging 32.4 points per game on 47.8% shooting from the field. The 24-year-old is averaging 30 points against Detroit on the season. He scored at least 28 points in each of the previous matchups. The Pistons are giving up of ton of points at home, and Maxey has not scored under the suggested points threshold of 27.5 since January 4th.
This selection is predicated on the current scoring streak over the last three games for Ausar Thompson. The Detroit forward has cleared 12.5 points in six of his previous nine games and is shooting 51% from the field since January 1st. Forwards facing the Sixers have cleared 12.5 points in eight of the last 10 contests, including four in a row. Thompson has only faced the Sixers once this season, scoring nine points in only 14 minutes of playing time.

Miami Heat at Brooklyn Nets

Each team has experienced mid-season changes to their current roster situations going into this contest. In the case of Miami, the Heat were able to move Jimmy Butler, while bringing in two solid pieces going forward. Whereas the Nets were unable to make any deals yesterday, yet were active weeks before the deadline.
What does that mean for Brooklyn? Unfortunately, more of the same in regards to performance and a decreased chance of landing a top-three pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Brooklyn is averaging the third-fewest amount of points per game over the last five games (102.2). Miami owns the ninth-highest defensive rating on the season and is allowing the seventh-fewest points per game (110.8).
Miami has won four of their last six contests and three of their last four games on the road. The Heat have bested the Nets two times this season. We confidently feel Miami will get the win tonight.
The Heat fell short of surpassing the 108.5 total the last time these teams met on January 25th. However, they were able to score 110 points against Brooklyn on December 23rd. The Nets are allowing over 111 points when playing at home on the season.
The Nets are currently allowing over 48 points in the paint each contest. Bam Adebayo scores 57.9 % of his points from inside the painted area. Adebayo is averaging 23 points over the last three games on 56.7% shooting from the field.
The Miami center has taken on an increased scoring role recently while seeing an uptick in overall usage as well. Adebayo has a 22.9% usage rate on the season. That number has jumped to 27.4% over the last four contests.
