NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks, & Predictions: Friday (10/21)

The first week of the NBA is in full swing. That means so is betting. One of the most popular forms of betting is same-game parlays. Same-game parlays are pretty simple. Pair together multiple bets to increase your odds. Get all legs correct, and cash out.

Let us look at the best same-game parlays in today’s games.

Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics

  • Leg 1: Jayson Tatum Over 2.5 Threes (-174)
  • Leg 2: Jaylen Brown Over 2.5 Assists (-160)
  • Leg 3: Derrick White Under 0.5 Blocks (-113)

Jayson Tatum is turning into one of the best-scoring guards in the NBA. During his career, Tatum is attempting 8.1 threes per 36 minutes of play and shoots 38% from downtown. That puts him at an average of 3.1 three-pointers per game.

Jaylen Brown isn’t a pass-first guard, but over the last two years, he is averaging over three assists a game. The Miami Heat’s defense is going to force both Celtics guards to have to pass the ball. That should be enough to push Brown over the 2.5 assist mark during this matchup.

Blocks aren’t always easy to come by. Derrick White isn’t the same defensive player he was in San Antonio and averaged a block a game. Since coming to Boston, he is averaging 0.6 blocks per game. That makes this a value leg to this three-leg parlay.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors

  • Leg 1: Kyrie Irving Over 23.5 Points (-121)
  • Leg 2: Ben Simmons Over 6.5 Rebounds (-145)
  • Leg 3: Kevin Durant 2.5 Three Pointers (+129)

Kyrie Irving was underwhelming against the Pelicans two nights ago, but that won’t last forever. He only scored 15 points but continued to shoot the ball throughout the game. That will continue tonight against the Raptors. Kyrie will get plenty of shot attempts, which is a perfect opportunity for him to score.

We saw this the other night. Ben Simmons is not going to shoot the ball. He is there to play defense, rebound, and pass. When you don’t need to worry about scoring, rebounding becomes a priority. Expect Simmons to rack up stats outside of the scoring column tonight.

Kevin Durant will shoot the ball. He is debatably the best scorer in the NBA. Steve Nash will find ways for his team to create opportunities to get Durant the ball and score. These opportunities include three-pointers, where he is a career 38.4% shooter. Getting this at plus value has plenty of upsides.

New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons

  • Leg 1: Julius Randle Over 20.5 Points (-104)
  • Leg 2: Jaden Ivey Over 12.5 Points (-129)
  • Leg 3: Jalen Brunson 1.5 Three Pointers (-109)

Julius Randle looks to be the center of this offense this year. The Knicks do not have a true star on their roster besides Randle, and he needs to play like he did when he was an All-Star for this team to have a chance at making the playoffs. That will provide him with plenty of opportunities against a team that lacks does not have a true center on their roster.

Jaden Ivey looked like an instant contributor in his debut against the Orlando Magic. He scored 19 points on 8/15 shooting and will improve as the season progresses. The over on 12.5 could be a great value play if Ivey keeps playing as he did two nights ago.

Jalen Brunson missed big chunks of the first two quarters in the first game of the year due to foul trouble but is a volume shooter for the Knicks going forward. He can score in bunches when he is on. That means he will get plenty of three-point opportunities. This game is a great chance to buy low on Brunson.
