NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (12/8)

Welcome to a three-game NBA slate where I’ll provide a pair of same-game parlays for your liking. It’s been a successful season so far, and I’d love to keep it going. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s games.

NBA Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (12/8)

Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs

  • Leg 1: Tre Jones OVER 14.5 points (+120)
  • Leg 2: Keldon Johnson OVER 6.5 rebounds (+105)
  • Leg 3: Rockets OVER 117.5 points (+100)

Starting off with a bang here in what should be an exciting matchup against two not-so-exciting teams. Looking at the metrics, the Spurs rank dead last in offensive efficiency, with Houston close behind them at 27th in the league.

What I do like, however, is that their defensive metrics are on par. The Spurs rank last again in defensive efficiency, with the Rockets at 27th. The point total may seem like a lot, but with San Antonio coming in as the fastest team in the nation and Houston ranking seventh, there will be plenty of possessions to score, and I will take a bad offense over a bad defense any day of the week.

Kevin Porter is currently questionable, which helps Tre Jones’ ability to score in my mind if Houston has to switch up who’s guarding him. The number of possessions should also give plenty of chances for Johnson to rack up some boards.

Parlay Odds: +700

Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trail Blazers

  • Leg 1: Damian Lillard OVER 7.5 assists (+130)
  • Leg 2: Damian Lillard 4+ three-pointers (+130)
  • Leg 3: Jusuf Nurkic OVER 9.5 rebounds (-110)

Did someone say Dame Time?

After missing some games, Lillard stepped back into play, tallying 32 minutes with 21 points and five threes on Sunday. I’m usually a big “trust the numbers,” but sometimes you can’t quantify a player’s competitive hunger. I have to imagine Lillard is ready for more and continues leading Portland to their winning ways. This should be a close game, too, with a point spread within a possession, so I expect the rock to end up in Dame’s hands as it gets down to crunch time.

Nurkic’s rebound total is one of the best values on the slate, as he’s projected to haul in 11 boards by the BettingPros Prop Bet Cheat Sheet. Denver offers a pace-up spot for Portland, and Denver’s offensive rebound rate sometimes lacks, which should allow Nurkic to reach double-digit rebounds.

Parlay Odds: +700
