Minnesota Timberwolves (+194) at San Antonio Spurs (-235) | O/U 228.5 (-106/-114)

The Timberwolves (27-15) and Spurs (28-14) meet at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night. San Antonio is looking to snap a five-game losing streak in the series, while the Timberwolves have covered two of the past three games and three of the past five in the series. The over has cashed in three of the past four games, too.

Minnesota heads into this game looking to get back on track after a 110-105 loss at Houston as a 3.5-point underdog, as the under (222.5) cashed on Friday night. Now, with no rest, the Timberwolves play the Spurs. These teams met on Sunday in the Twin Cities, with Minnesota posting a 104-103 victory, while the Spurs covered as a 2.5-point underdog and the under (232.5) cashed.

In that low-scoring affair, the Spurs shot 39% (34-of-88) from the field and 34% (13-of-38) from behind the three-point line, while going 88% (22-of-25) from the free-throw line. While they amassed just 103 points, the Spurs had six players score 11+ points, including Victor Wembanyama going for 29 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Julian Champagnie had 14 points and 10 boards. Luke Kornet scooped up 12 boards and a block in 23 minutes off the bench.

For the Timberwolves, they shot 43% (39-of-90) in that narrow win, while hitting 31% (12-of-39) from long distance, but it would have been a much more emphatic win had they shown up at the free-throw line. Minnesota was just 56% (14-of-25) from the charity stripe, leaving double-digit points on the floor. Anthony Edwards dropped a team-best 23 points. Minnesota also had six players in double digits. Rudy Gobert had only two points, but he was good for 14 boards and a block. Naz Reid supplied 17 points, 11 rebounds and three triples.

Edwards is expected to miss this one, however, due to a foot injury that has sidelined him since Sunday’s game. Donte DiVincenzo and veteran Mike Conley have comprised the backcourt for Minnesota in Edwards’ stead. Let’s go with San Antonio laying the points, while going low on the total.

For player props, let’s keep it simple. As a reminder, do not bet these players straight up, as it is way too much risk for not nearly enough reward. Bet on DiVincenzo and Champagnie to each simply get to 10 points. That sets us up for a simple 6X payout.

Washington Wizards (+450) at Denver Nuggets (-600) | O/U 232.5 (-106/-114)

The Wizards (10-30) meet the Nuggets (28-13) at Ball Arena in Denver at 9:00 p.m. ET. Surprisingly, the Wizards swept the season series in 2024-25, including a 126-123 victory as a 12-point underdog in which the over (243.5) cashed. The Wizards are 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in the past four games, while the over is 2-0-1 in the past three meetings, and 5-2-1 across the previous eight installments in the series.

Washington is wrapping up a horrendous four-game road trip. The Wizards have lost each of the first three games on the trip, while failing to cover in each game. It has lost each game by at least 13 points, cashing low in two of the three outings. The Wizards are 0-5 straight up (SU)/ATS in the past five games, too.

While the Nuggets continue to play without Nikola Jokic (knee), all has not been lost. They’ve won three in a row, while also covering each of those games. They are 5-1 SU/ATS across the past six games, while the under has a 3-2 edge in the past five games.

Let’s take Denver to get the job done, as Washington is running on fumes at the end of its trip. These teams will play in the nation’s capital on Thursday. It’s not quite a home-and-home series, but close.

As far as the total is concerned, backing the over in Wizards games is usually the course of action, but go low on this one. No Jokic for Denver has knocked down the scoring, with them scoring 118 or fewer points in four of the past five games, and seven of the previous nine outings. The Wizards have scored 115 or fewer points in five in a row, and the under is 3-1 in the four outings.

For Denver, in addition to Jokic, Christian Braun (ankle) and Jonas Valanciunas (calf) are also sidelined. Peyton Watson continues to see a huge role for Denver, and he has done a good job picking up the slack. We’ll take him to get to 15 points. Let’s also go with Jalen Pickett to simply get to five points to get us over the hump.
