Los Angeles Lakers (-154) at Atlanta Hawks (+130) – O/U 230.5 (-110)
- Leg #1: Lakers -3.5 (-108)
- Leg #2: Over 230 Points (-110)
- Leg #3: Nickeil Alexander-Walker 15+ Points (-250)
The Lakers (7-2) battle the Hawks (4-5) at State Farm Arena, and it’s a little surprising to see Los Angeles laying just two buckets, even on the road. Los Angeles has won five consecutive games, while covering five in a row. It is also 7-1 SU/ATS in the past eight games, while the Over has cashed in three in a row, while going 8-1 across the past nine outings.
For Atlanta, it isn’t going as well, coming off a 109-97 loss at home as a 2.5-point favorite against the Toronto Raptors as the Under (235.5) connected. The Under and Over have alternated in each of the past seven outings.
We’ll take the Lakers laying the little bit of points on the road, while playing the Over. Atlanta has allowed at least 112 points in two of the past three games, and five of the past seven outings. Atlanta has conceded at least 107 points in all nine games, too. The Hawks do a decent job against the 3-pointer, allowing teams to hit just 32.1%, while allowing 116.4 points per game (PPG).
In this series, the home team has won five in a row, but the Lakers have covered the past three meetings, with L.A. going 5-1 ATS in the past six in the series since Dec. 30, 2022. The Over is 7-1 in the past eight meetings, too.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker continues to fill in admirably for Trae Young (knee), who remains sidelined due to a knee injury. NAW is good for at least 16 points in eight in a row since scoring 10 points in the season opener Oct. 22, and he has scored 20 points in each of the past two outings.
Parlay Odds: +405
Phoenix Suns (+156) at Los Angeles Clippers (-186) – O/U 227.5 (-114/-106)
- Leg #1: Clippers -4.5 (-108)
- Leg #2: Over 227.5 Points (-110)
- Leg #3: Ivica Zubac To Record A Double-Double (-170)
The Suns (4-5) and the Clippers (3-5) meet at 10:30 p.m. ET at Intuit Dome on ESPN.
Phoenix has been skidding on the road, losing all four of its games, while going 4-1 at home. For LA, they are 3-2 at home, while going just 1-7 ATS, so this game is a little harder to handicap than you’d think.
These teams just met Thursday night at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, with the Suns posting a 115-102 victory as 2.5-point favorites while the Under (224.5) cashed. Phoenix has won three of the past four games, while going 4-1 ATS in the past five outings after starting out 0-3-1 ATS. The Under is 4-1 in the past five games, too.
Phoenix hit 45% from the field (41-of-92), while going 39% (19-of-49) from behind the 3-point line. G Jalen Green hit 29 points, while knocking down six 3-pointers, while G Devin Booker ended up with 24 points, seven assists and six rebounds in 37 minutes. Veteran F Royce O’Neale also chipped in with five triples, going for 17 points.
The Clips hit just 44% (35-of-79) from the field, while going just 32% (10-of-31) from behind the arc, while C Ivica Zubac was good for 23 points and 11 boards, plus Cam Christie surprised with 17 points off the bench.
Phoenix has actually won six of the past seven meetings in this series, although the Clippers won 129-102 at Intuit Dome in the first meeting Oct. 24 as a 10-point favorite while the Over (223.5) cashed.
We’ll side with the Clippers to gain revenge in the second end of the back-to-back, while the Over is the play. As far as the player props, getting us over the +400 hump, let’s roll with Zubac to record a double-double at home.
