Denver Nuggets (-142) at Los Angeles Lakers (+120) | O/U 244.5 (-110/-110)

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Nuggets (41-26) and the Lakers (41-25) meet at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Looking at the NBA injury report, Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Jamal Murray (ankle) are each listed as probable, but they’re both expected to start. Only Peyton Watson (hamstring) will be sidelined. For the Lakers, they’re very healthy, too, with Jaxson Hayes (back) listed as probable, and Maxi Kleber (back) out. Both teams will be mostly at full health.

The Nuggets have won two in a row, averaging 132.5 points per game (PPG) in the past two games, while scoring 126+ points in each of the past three games. They have covered three in a row, while the over is 3-1 in the past four games.

For the Lakers, they’ve won and covered four in a row, but that last loss on March 5th came in Denver against the Nuggets, 120-113, as a 4-point underdog, while the under (241.5) cashed. That non-cover was the only straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) loss in the past eight games for the Lakers.

Los Angeles has won three of the past five meetings, while going 4-1 ATS in the past five in the series. The under has cashed in both meetings this season, too, while going 5-2 across the past seven games and 7-3 in the past 10 installments, including a playoff series.

Let’s take the Lakers straight up as a home underdog, and we’ll go with the under based on the season and series trends.

For player props, it’s always fun to play Nikola Jokic’s combined points + rebounds + assists prop. He is averaging a triple-double this season - with 28.7, 12.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game - while hitting 57.3% of his field-goal attempts. Jokic has three straight triple-doubles, averaging 26.3 points, 15.3 rebounds and 12.7 assists during that span.

Jokic posted 29 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds in the most recent meeting with the Lakers. Let’s simply take Jokic to get to 45+ combined points + rebounds + assists, which is below his season averages. Don’t play this prop straight up, though, as you would need to risk nearly six times your potential return.

Sacramento Kings (+550) at Los Angeles Clippers (-800) | O/U 229.5 (-110/-110)

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Kings (16-51) and the Clippers (34-32) meet at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN in the final game of the evening.

Los Angeles has won six in a row in this series, including both meetings this season. That includes a 131-90 win in L.A. on December 30th, covering as a 9.5-point favorite as the over (218.5) cashed. The over has hit in each of the meetings this season, and three of the past four in the series.

Sacramento has lost four of the past six games, although it has covered the past three games, including a 117-109 loss against the Charlotte Hornets as a 14.5-point underdog. The Kings are 4-2 ATS in the past six games as a double-digit underdog, too, while the over is 4-1 in the past five games when the Kings are catching 10+ points.

The Clippers stopped the visiting Chicago Bulls on Friday, 119-108, but did not cover as 13.5-point favorites, as the under (234.5) cashed. That snapped a five-game over streak for the Clippers. Despite the non-cover, Los Angeles is still 7-2 ATS in the past nine games and 12-3 ATS in the past 15 outings. The over is 4-2 in the past six games when playing on no rest.

We’re going to take the Kings with the big points, while going over on the total.

For props, Sacramento’s Maxime Raynaud has been getting a ton of minutes with Domantas Sabonis (knee) done for the season after surgery. Raynaud had a stinker last time out against the Hornets, posting just four points and six boards, but he is averaging 16 points, 9.3 rebounds and two assists in six March games. You can double up by taking Raynaud to post a double-double, which he has accomplished in two of the past three games and four of the past six games.
