NBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Tuesday (3/31)

Two of the best teams in the league will battle when the New York Knicks meet the Houston Rockets. Below, I highlight what I expect from Karl-Anthony Towns and Jabari Smith Jr. in that game. Then I discuss why the short-handed Portland Trail Blazers are in trouble tonight against Darius Garland and the Los Angeles Clippers. Here are the best NBA same-game parlays (SGP) for Tuesday, March 31st.

Knicks vs. Rockets Same Game Parlay

Leg #1: Under 218.5 Points (-115)

The Knicks have a top-10 scoring offense, averaging 116.8 points per game. However, this is going to be a game dominated by the defenses. Both teams rank in the top five in scoring defenses, allowing 110.5 points per game or fewer.

The first time these two teams met, the final score was 108-106. Back-to-back Knicks games have featured 217 or fewer points, while the Rockets have held three consecutive opponents to 110 points or fewer.

Leg #2: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 11.5 Rebounds (+115)

Karl-Anthony Towns only had seven rebounds the first time he faced the Rockets, but his stellar play on the boards this month has me loving this over, especially for the listed price. Towns has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in 11 out of 14 games this month, and he's averaging 12.9 rebounds per game.

The Rockets are allowing the second-fewest rebounds per game, but with the Knicks allowing the fifth-lowest opponent field-goal rate, I expect Towns to have plenty of opportunities to hit this number. And with how he's playing, getting him at his average for anything better than +100 odds is impossible to pass up.

Leg #3: Jabari Smith Jr. Over 13.5 Points (-120)

While I don't expect a lot of scoring in this game, I believe Jabari Smith Jr. is being undervalued. He's averaging 15.6 points per game, and he's scored at least 16 points in three consecutive contests.

In March, he has five 20-point games, and he's only failed to reach 14 points four times. While the Knicks have a great defense, Smith actually got the better of them in the first meeting, despite his team scoring just 106 points. He shot 8-of-13 from the floor and scored 21 points.

Parlay Odds: +600

Trail Blazers vs. Clippers Same Game Parlay

Leg #1: Clippers -6.5 (-110)

Numerous factors have me loving the Clippers in this game. First, they've already beaten the Trail Blazers by at least seven points twice this season. Second, they're hot right now, winning five consecutive games, four of which were by at least seven points.

And third, the Trail Blazers will be without Shaedon Sharpe and Jermai Grant, their second and third-leading scorers, respectively. If you're looking to solo a spread, the Clippers -9.5 is a great play tonight.

Leg #2: Toumani Camara Over 14.5 Points (+107)

While I expect the Clippers to dominate, I also think Toumani Camara is going to step up for the Trail Blazers in this contest. He just scored 23 points against the Washington Wizards on Sunday, and he's now scored at least 16 points in five of his last eight games.

Camara also shoots 36.3% from deep and is averaging 2.6 three-pointers per game. He hit five threes the last time he faced the Clippers, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a similar amount against the league's 26th-best three-point shooting defense.

Leg #3: Darius Garland Over 7.5 Assists (+120)

Darius Garland is averaging 6.9 assists per game this season. Since joining the Clippers, he's recorded fewer than eight rebounds in eight out of 11 games. However, he's coming off an 11-assist game on Sunday, and the Trail Blazers are middle of the pack when it comes to assists allowed, giving up 26.5 per game.

Additionally, Garland has a very high floor. He hasn't recorded fewer than five assists since joining the Clippers, and he has recorded at least six assists in all but one game. Therefore, he starts the game with a legitimate shot, and with his team favored by a wide margin, I'll back him to get his teammates involved for this price.

Parlay Odds: +750
