Cleveland Cavaliers at Milwaukee Bucks

The Cavaliers are beginning to look like the team from last season that finished the regular season as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. They are one of the hottest teams in the league, winning 13 of their last 15, including coming off a huge 15-point win against the Knicks. The addition of James Harden is paying off, as his ability to facilitate the ball is helping this offense. He's averaging eight assists per game since joining the Cavaliers.

The first half of the season was a disaster for the Bucks. The team struggled and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future was uncertain. It also hasn't helped that Antetokounmpo has missed 25 games, including the last 12. However, that hasn't negatively impacted Milwaukee, which is playing well recently, winning seven of its last nine games and ranking fifth in offensive rating since February 3rd (120.1).

These are two division rivals, and while the Cavaliers are the better team, the Bucks could keep this game close at home.

Boston Celtics at Denver Nuggets

The Celtics are coming in hot, winning four straight and nine of their last 10. The balance of a strong offense and defense is what makes them a potential championship contender. They are just one of four teams in the NBA that rank in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive adjusted net rating. With Jayson Tatum out since last year's playoffs with a torn Achilles, Jaylen Brown has stepped up as the leader and is fourth in the league in points per game (29.2). His status is important for this matchup; he missed Tuesday's win over Phoenix due to a knee contusion.

Boston could need their full starting lineup against an excellent Denver offense. This is the top-scoring offense in the league, averaging 120.8 points per game, and sporting a 1.181 offensive rating. That has unfortunately not helped them recently, as they have lost six of their last nine games. That largely relates to not being as strong on defense, ranking 23rd in defensive rating. The Nuggets’ inconsistency is largely due to injuries. They have struggled to keep their full roster on the court, with several of their stars missing time this season, including Aaron Gordon, who has missed the last 12 games.

The Celtics’ volume shooting against a poor Nuggets defense could help them put up points, but Denver's top-tier defense could keep them in check.
