Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
- Leg 1: Thunder -8.5 (-108)
- Leg 2: Alex Caruso 8+ Points (-165)
- Leg 3: Thunder 2nd Half Team Total Over 56.5 Points (-118)
The Timberwolves have played significantly better in the last two games and are shooting 54.4% from the floor and 47% from three. If they can continue that type of shooting, then they could keep it competitive in the hostile environment of Oklahoma City. They also need to limit Oklahoma City's high percentage shots; in Game 3, Minnesota did a great job at taking away the inside and forcing OKC to shoot from long range. The Thunder started off shooting cold while Minnesota started fast, and the Timberwolves built a big lead in the first quarter.
More importantly, they took opportunities away from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as he was limited to four shots and two points in the first quarter as opposed to going 5-for-6 in the first quarter of Game 4.
It's when the support around Gilgeous-Alexander gets going that opens things up for him. Game 4 is a perfect example of when the Thunder are playing to their abilities, they are difficult to beat. They have the ability to score from anywhere on the floor; Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams can drive to the basket, or kick it out to Chet Holmgren, Alex Caruso, or Carson Wallace.
For most of the series, the T-Wolves have not been able to figure them out. OKC is one of the few rosters that runs deep and can take out their starters, and there isn't a drop-off in production. They should be able to close out the series tonight.
