NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (10/29/24)
Regular season record: 5-9
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): OVER 6.5 1st quarter points
Jokic has helped set the pace early in games for the Nuggets this season, averaging 9 ppg in first quarters. He has scored seven or more first quarter points in each of his games so far and is in an excellent position to do so again tonight against a weak Brooklyn Nets frontcourt. This number is likely to spike to 7.5 at some point, so let's take advantage of the 6.5 when it makes sense. Jab the More on Jokic for Tuesday Night Basketball.
Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): OVER 0.5 double doubles
Sabonis double double is an automatic play whenever it is available. Domantas recorded an all time NBA record 77 double doubles last season and is still a nightly triple double threat. This is a total that often expires and sees a decreasing multiplier, so whenever the Kings are on a slate, look to lock this one in sooner rather than later. When the multiplier gets too low, it is removed from the board at Sleeper Picks. Slap the More on Sabonis for Tuesday night's action.
DeMar DeRozan (G/F – SAC): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
DeMar has been excellent for the Kings. Through three games, the 35 year old is averaging 24 ppg. He has scored 23 in each of his three contests and should continue to have strong volume from both the floor and the line as long as he is healthy. His rebounds and assists will drop playing with Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox, but he is going to have more space to operate than he has seen any time in his career. DeRozan should score at least 20 points tonight against Utah. Dap the More on DeMar for Tuesday night.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
