Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and we’ll guide you through the process each week.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/19/23)

Season record: 68-44

Ja Morant (G – MEM): OVER 24.5 points

Ja is back! One of the most exciting but troubled players in the NBA is back from his suspension tonight and appears set to go off against the New Orleans Pelicans. Ja scored 36, 23, and 32 against the Pelicans in his three games against them last season. Ja should immediately receive all the minutes and shots he can handle for the struggling Grizzlies, as both Marcus Smart and Derrick Rose have been ruled out for Tuesday night. Jab the More on Ja for tonight's action.

C.J. McCollum (G – NOP): OVER 18.5 points

McCollum at 18.5 is one of the top More plays of the day. He has scored 19 or more in four straight games and will continue to shoot regardless of who is sharing the floor with him. He will need to avoid a low-efficiency night to hit the 19, but facing a Memphis Grizzlies team surrendering 21.55 points per game to the shooting guard position should help matters. Mash the More on McCollum for Tuesday night.

Steph Curry (G – GSW): OVER 28.5 points

Curry should be up for tonight's contest against the Boston Celtics. He has had some off nights recently but will be leaned on once again tonight against a Boston Celtics team he dropped 32 and 29 on last season. Facing a Celtics team relinquishing the fourth most points per game to the point guard position at 26.15 per contest, Steph just needs to avoid a putrid shooting night to hit the 29 with relative ease. Clap the More on Curry for Tuesday night’s NBA action.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
