NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2/28/25)

Regular season record: 171-58

Kevin Durant (G/F – PHX): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

KD continues to get a very reasonable multiplier for his 19.5 line. Why? I honestly have no clue, but who are we to argue with favorable conditions? KD has scored 20 or more points in all but four of his 46 games played this season. He is averaging 26.9 points per game and is matching up with a New Orleans Pelicans team he just poured in 28 points against last night. Light up the More on KD for Friday night basketball.

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Cade Cunningham has finally got the recognition and respect he deserved as one of the game’s brightest young talents and has a team that was in the 'worst team of all time' watch just last season, sitting comfortably in sixth place in the East. He has been lights out this season, averaging 25.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 9.7 assists on .459 shooting, and is tied for third in the league with eight triple doubles. Tonight, Cade will face off against a Denver team he scored just 17 points on earlier this season, but that was in just 27 minutes of action as the bench mob got extra burn in what was looking like a blowout before a fourth quarter rally. Cade has scored 20 or more points in 20 of his last 21 games played. Clap the More on Cade for Friday night basketball.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)

MVP! SGA is the consensus vote for the 2024-25 NBA MVP. The award is his as long as he is healthy, and while he is unlikely to be a unanimous decision, he will be the first non-controversial Canadian MVP and will be the first non-controversial selection in years. SGA has now scored 25 or more points in 31 of his last 33 games. Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 35 points on Atlanta when he faced them earlier this season. Slap the More on SGA for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
