NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/23/24)
Regular season record: 202-130
Playoff record: 8-4
Kevin Durant (G/F – PHX): OVER 5.5 1st quarter points
KD is in playoff KD mode and will look to help set the tone for the Suns in the first quarter. Durant has scored eight or more first quarter points in three straight, including two against Minnesota. KD was often more than happy to let his teammates cook in the first quarter during the regular season, but now that the playoffs are here, he will be looking for his shot and demanding the ball more than usual. KD scored 11 in the first in Game 1. Dap the More on Durant for Tuesday night basketball.
Anthony Edwards (G/F – MIN): OVER 25.5 points
I am HIM. That's what Anthony Edwards is out to prove in these playoffs, and he has already solidified himself as one of the best talents in the NBA with his Game 1 performance. The stage is not too big for Ant-Man, and with confidence and momentum on his side, Edwards should continue to be a force for the Timberwolves in Game 2. Edwards was a disaster against the Suns during the regular season, but his 33 points in Game 1 give this total serious appeal as the T'Wolves host the Phoenix Suns for Game 2. Tap the More on Edwards for Tuesday night.
Kyrie Irving (G – DAL): OVER 25.5 points
Kyrie looked locked in during Game 1 and should be leaned on to do most of the heavy lifting once again alongside Luka Doncic. After his 41 point performance in Game 1, this total could have been set quite a bit higher, so take advantage while Sleeper Picks is still using regular season data to inform their lines. Kyrie should have another high volume night from the field and should drop 26 or more points for the sixth time in eight games. Kyrie has scored 25 or more in six of his last seven games. Hit the More on Kyrie for Game 2.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
