NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/29/25)
Regular season record: 227-68
Playoff record: 12-3
Paolo Banchero (F – ORL): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
Paolo has been doing everything he can to keep the Orlando Magic competitive, but his 32.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game have not been enough for the shorthanded Magic to avoid falling in a 3-1 hole and standing on the brink of elimination against the defending NBA Champions. Banchero should hit the 19.5 total with ease, and like last game, remains a strong play at the 24.5 alt line. However, as echoed here before Game 4, the probability based value still lies at 19.5. Push the More on Paolo for Tuesday night's NBA action.
Cade Cunningham (G – DET): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)
Cade had a triple double in Game 4, but it was not enough to hold off the surging New York Knicks. Now, a series that many thought would go the other way is in danger of ending in a gentleman's sweep. Detroit is deeper and arguably has the best player in this series in Cunningham, but the Knicks, while pretty much only five deep, have a sizable gap in starting lineup talent and playoff experience. Cade has been excellent in this series, but it hasn't been enough. In fact, the only game the Pistons won was the one where Cade abandoned playmaking to be a scorer. Cade has scored at least 21 in every game of this series and should be good for at least that much tonight. Clap the More on Cade for Tuesday night at Sleeper Picks.
Giannis Antetokounmpo (F – MIL): OVER 0.5 double doubles
Giannis will need to do everything in his power to help the Bucks try to stay alive in the postseason. Indiana had been the better team for most of the series, but with Damian Lillard going down with a torn Achilles, this series appears to be all but over. For his part, Giannis has been playing at the elite level we all take for granted in the postseason, posting at least 28 points and 12 rebounds in all four games of this series. Grab the More on Giannis for Tuesday night basketball.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
