Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight's NBA action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/5/24)

Season record: 194-125

Brandon Miller (G/F – CHA): OVER 18.5 points

Miller continues to develop as a scorer for the Charlotte Hornets, pouring in 19 or more points in five of his last six games. His efficiency still leaves a lot to be desired, but all in all, this has been a strong rookie season. This is a volume-based play, as Miller has the green light from the field and should let it fly against the Magic tonight. Miller scored 20 and 18 points in his two games against Orlando this season and should be good for at least 19 tonight, providing he doesn't go frigid from the field. Mash the More on Miller (wrist) if he is active tonight.

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): OVER 0.5 double doubles 

I was angling for Jayson Tatum 1st quarter points, but due to still not being posted as of this morning, we have to pivot. Domantas double double is a play we haven't touched in a while as it usually expires before this column is published. However, with it still on the board, this is a no-brainer multiplier booster. Sabonis leads the NBA in double doubles and triple doubles, failing to post at least 10 and 10 just four times in 76 games. Slap the More on Sabonis for Friday night.

Devin Booker (G – PHX): OVER 8.5 1st quarter points 

Book continues to cook for the Phoenix Suns, exploding for 10 or more first quarter points in six of his last seven games. Booker should be all the way up for tonight's contest against one of the best teams in the Western Conference in the Minnesota Timberwolves, so expect another hot start. Bump the More on Booker for Friday night.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
