NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/8/25)

Regular season record: 219-67

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): OVER 24.5 points (alt line)

Nikola Jokic continues his incredible play, something which promises to generate him even more MVP votes than many thought possible a few weeks ago. SGA undoubtedly deserves it, but Jokic, perhaps playing at his highest level ever (at least based on the numbers), makes things complicated, especially in a league with multiple controversial MVP winners. Shai has now scored 25 or more points in 17 straight and in 39 of his last 41 games overall. Slap the More on SGA for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.

Ja Morant (G – MEM): 24.5 points (alt line)

The initial thought here was to roll with the 19.5 alt line, but Ja has been incredible since the All-Star break, averaging 27.5 points and 7.1 assists compared to just 20.7 and 7.4 assists prior to the break. Ja has scored 25 or more points in 10 of his last 12 games and has taken 20 or more shots in each of the four games since Taylor Jenkins was surprisingly fired right before the playoffs. Ja looks to be back to his old self, and as long as he can play a full complement of minutes against a team like Charlotte, he will hit at least 25 points. The 19.5 is the play if you want to go the safe route, as Ja being pulled early is a legitimate concern. With that said, Ja will likely look to get his volume regardless of whether or not he plays 30 minutes or 35 minutes tonight. Jab the More on Ja for Tuesday night basketball.

Luka Doncic (G – LAL): OVER 19.5 points (alt line)

Luka Doncic has had his struggles since joining the Lakers, most notably in the field goal percentage department, but has been producing typical Luka stat lines nonetheless. He looks to have settled into his role beside LeBron James, and after dropping 30 points on the Thunder on .550 shooting on Sunday, he looks to be rounding into playoff form. Luka has scored 20 or more points in 20 of his last 21 games. Light up the More on Luka for Tuesday night's NBA action.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
