NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (5/2/25)

Regular season record: 227-68
Playoff record: 16-5

Alperen Sengun (F/C – HOU): OVER 14.5 points (alt line)

Sengun has been a difference maker in this series and will need to be a tone setter on both ends of the floor if the Rockets are to find a way to stave off elimination. Alperen is seeing his role fluctuate and took just nine shots in Game 4 after not taking fewer than 15 in any other game. Sengun is going to need to be a playmaking hub tonight, but will still need to fill it up as well. The Rockets will be making a concerted effort to make sure Jalen Green gets going, so Sengun may fall under 20 points tonight if some of the 'others' get going. Slap the More on Sengun for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.

Jimmy Butler (G/F – GSW): OVER 21.5 points

Playoff Jimmy has the Golden State Warriors just one win away from the second round. Butler has helped transform the Warriors from pretenders to contenders, but there is still more work to be done. They have to put away the Rockets, but if they can manage that, they will have a relatively easy path to the Conference Finals. Butler has scored 25 or more points in three of his four full playoff games. Jab the More on Jimmy for Friday night basketball.

Fred VanVleet (G – HOU): OVER 1.5 threes (alt line)

FVV has stepped up for the Rockets over the last three contests, averaging 22.6 points per game, while draining at least three shots from deep in each. On the series as a whole, VanVleet has hit two or more threes in four of the five games played. Freddy will need to be aggressive with his shot to help the Rockets hold off the Golden State Warriors and force a Game 7. Vibe with the More on VanVleet for Friday night's NBA action.

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
