Round Three of the Masters is now behind us as Scottie Scheffler continues to hold his dominant lead over the rest of the field at -9. We now look forward to Round Four as the odds have greatly shifted across the board for the winner of the tournament.

Below, I give out my best Masters Outright Winner live bet to make now that Round Three is over. I have built upon this article through each of the first three rounds, and the final tally of the plays made is at the bottom of this article.

Scottie Scheffler (-225) – Risk 2.25u to Win 1u
While this is an extremely boring take, It will be the correct one as I am dipping into the Scheffler market for a final time. I wrote in my post-Round Two article about how Scheffler’s meltdown would be unprecedented if he were to lose, and I am sticking to that.

Over the last 85 years, there have been four golfers with a five-stroke lead following Round Two at the Masters. Jordan Spieth in 2015, Raymond Floyd in 1876, Jack Nicklaus in 1975, and Herman Keiser in 1946 all held five-stroke leads after 36 holes at Augusta.

All four of those golfers would go on to win the Masters, and I expect Scheffler to do the same. While Scheffler’s lead is down to three strokes after Round Three, he still is in an extremely comfortable position to finish the job on Sunday.

Additionally, the last four golfers to hold a minimum-three-stroke-lead after the third round at Augusta all went on to win the tournament. Scheffler’s metrics indicate that he is well on pace to do the same.

Through the first three rounds, Scheffler ranks fifth in SG Putting, fifth in SG Around the Green, seventh in SG Approach the Green, fourth in SG Off the Tee, first in SG Tee to Green, and second in Scrambling. I cannot emphasize enough how absurd It is that Scheffler is dominating in every single aspect of the tournament.

His game is on fire, and quite frankly he could be up by more strokes if It was not for three bad swings in Round Three, including the penalty he had to take at Hole 18 on Saturday. While this is certainly not a hot take, I am doubling down once again that Scheffler will not have one of the worst meltdowns in the history of the Masters.

Best of luck!
