Q: Whoâs your favorite early NFC Champion value bet?
Philadelphia Eagles (+850)
The Philadelphia Eagles almost had every single thing possible go wrong in 2019, yet they still made the playoffs. The only thing that did go right for the Eagles was that Carson Wentz stayed healthy for the first time in a long time. He proved he could put the injury narrative behind him. Itâs just unfortunate that nearly all of his skill players got hurt. However, 2020 and beyond look incredibly bright for Philly. The Eagles will undoubtedly upgrade their receiving options, while Miles Sanders, Zach Ertz, and Dallas Goedert make for a solid core group coming back. The pass defense needs to improve, but that should also be an area addressed this offseason. Typically, luck seems to eventually even itself out, and the Eagles are due a little luck next season. Considering the quality of the NFC East, the Eaglesâ 2019 success, and all other factors, Philadelphia seems like a great value bet to win the NFC next season.

Dallas Cowboys (+850)
The Dallas Cowboys admittedly underachieved in 2019, losing key games down the stretch when they could have put a stranglehold on the division. With $74M in cap space, look for owner Jerry Jones to be in âgo for itâ mode next year. Look for the Cowboys to lock up Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper then be active in the NFL Draft to fill key voids on defense. They need to beef up their defensive line and could also use another defensive back. They may be in play for Lions cornerback Darius Slay who has been said to be available via trade. The NFC East was there for the taking last year, and the Cowboys will learn from their mistakes and capitalize next year on the way to a Super Bowl run.

Los Angeles Rams (+1000)
Sean McVay is a winning coach in a tough division with a strong defense and Legatron kicking âem true. While having just missed the playoffs with a positive record, the Ramsâ draft position makes them a pick away from relevance. If they can gain some high-performing veterans in free agency and draft well with an emphasis on optimizing their offensive line â the sky is the limit. I have much love for the Vikings to steal this show as well, but the Rams offer a slightly better value while in my mind just as likely a pursuer of NFC glory.

Seattle Seahawks (+1000)
Six of the top nine favorites for the NFC championship are among the bottom 10 in 2020 projected cap space. One of the teams who isnât in that group is the Seahawks who have the sixth-most cap space ($64 million) heading into the offseason. The Seahawks will look to lock down short-term deals for Jadeveon Clowney and Jarran Reed on the defensive line and spend on free agents to address protecting their franchise quarterback, Russell Wilson. Though they were a bit lucky last season in terms of wins, being able to spend this offseason can sure up their defense a bit. If they can improve defensively, they will never be out of a game thanks to one of the leagueâs best in Wilson. They are surely a value at +1000 to win the NFC.
