Week 3 comes to a conclusion on Monday Night Football as the NFC South’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the NFC East’s Philadelphia Eagles.

Below, I will walk through my best prop bet to make for MNF.

Baker Mayfield Over 225.5 Passing Yards (-115 via PointsBet)

Baker is going through a resurgence in Tampa, looking incredibly sharp over the first two weeks. Yes, he faced two poor defenses in the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears, but it is impressive nonetheless that he is 47/68 with 490 yards and a 3-0 TD:INT ratio through those two outings.

Todd Bowles appears to have plenty of faith in Mayfield, allowing him to throw the rock 34 times in each of the first two weeks. Based on the results, there is no reason to not expect more of the same on Monday, and that is part of the reason I like Baker to reach at least 226 passing yards.

The spread is in our favor here too considering that the Bucs are five-point dogs, which is good for backing QB props if they are playing catch-up late. More importantly, Philadelphia’s secondary has gotten torched through the air.

Losing C.J. Gardner-Johnson has greatly hurt a secondary that surrendered 316 yards to Mac Jones in Week 1 and 364 yards to Kirk Cousins in Week 2. The Eagles also rank in the bottom half of the league in expected points contributed by passing defense.

I believe that we are catching a fairly generous number here due to the forecast calling for rain, but 225.5 at PointsBet is an over-adjustment and is also 1-3 yards lower than the rest of the market.
