NFL Monday Night Football Player Props (Week 8): Steelers vs. Giants

The NFL wraps up a full Week 8 slate with the 5-2 Pittsburgh Steelers hosting the 2-5 New York Giants in a standalone Monday Night Football game. Russell Wilson took over as QB1 against the New York Jets and dominated, winning 37-15 and outscoring the Jets 24-0 in the second half to record a big statement win in primetime. Now, the Steelers are back in primetime at home as -5.5 point favorites against the spread, with a low point total set to 36.5.

My four NFL Week 7 Monday Night Football player props went 2-2, so we didn’t gain or lose any profit. Let’s go 2-0 in tonight’s game and sweep the board ahead of an interconference matchup between two teams heading in opposite directions. NFL MNF Week 8 Player Props

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Najee Harris O 62.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

The most obvious player prop that jumps out in this game is backing Steelers RB Najee Harris to continue getting a big workload out of the backfield. Harris has rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown in back-to-back games, while earning a season-high 21 carries during Pittsburgh’s rout of the New York Jets last Sunday.

62.5 rushing yards feels very doable, especially against a Giants run defense allowing a league-worst 5.4 YPC. Harris has 63 or more rushing yards in five of seven games played in 2024, excluding matchups against Indianapolis and Dallas, when Fields was under center and leaning on his mobility paired with a few designed runs.

Wilson is more of a pocket-passer and OC Arthur Smith loves to establish the run, so we’re hammering Harris to go over 62.5 rushing yards for the third consecutive game at home on Monday night.

Wan’Dale Robinson O 37.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

New York’s best opportunity to stay in this game is by throwing the football. QB Daniel Jones struggled mightily in Week 7 against Philadelphia, completing 14-21 for 99 yards. Pittsburgh’s pass defense is weaker than its run defense, allowing 6.2 net yards per attempt, which is 10th-highest in the league.

Jones has looked toward WR Wan’Dale Robinson frequently in 2024, targeting him nine to 14 times in four consecutive games heading into Monday night. With Malik Nabers commanding so much attention, Robinson should continue to get fed targets, but oddsmakers have his total receptions line set at over 4.5 with -154 odds.

We’re going to take the more profitable line and back New York’s WR2 to go over 37.5 receiving yards at -110 odds. Robinson has 38 or more receiving yards in four of seven games played this season, although he’s fallen below this line in two of his past three matchups, which is why we’re getting more value than his total receptions. Let’s stake a unit on Robinson to generate some yards after catch against the Steelers on Monday Night Football.
