(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions

Through all of the injuries the Buccaneers have suffered, they continue to find ways to win. The wide receiver depth chart has been depleted, and Baker Mayfield has not had his full complement of receivers in any game this season. That includes tonight with Chris Godwin’s absence, but there’s hope with Mike Evans’ potential return from injury, and Emeka Egbuka may also play despite an injury. We also know running back Bucky Irving is out. Raachad White has done well as the lead back and has three touchdowns and 157 yards from scrimmage in two games.

This could be a big spot for Mayfield, who is the only quarterback in the league with at least 10 passing touchdowns and only one interception. He goes against the Lions’ defense, whose 13 passing touchdowns allowed are the fourth-most.

The Lions need to brush off the loss to Kansas City because this is a huge game for them and their playoff future. This game could have implications for seeding in the NFC, with the Bucs currently the No. 1 team in the conference.

Their poor Week 1 offense with 13 points is behind them, as they've scored 30+ points in four of the last five games. Mayfield is in the MVP conversation, but why isn't Goff getting that same respect? He's been one of the best quarterbacks this season. He leads the league with a 79.5% completion rate and 14 passing touchdowns. With all of the options, including Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta, he should be able to torch a Tampa Bay pass defense ranked 21st in passing yards per game (231.3) and 23rd in opponents' completion rate (68.3%).

We have two very explosive offenses in what could be a high-scoring battle for NFC supremacy.
