NFL Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Falcons vs. Saints
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
- Leg 1: Chris Olave 80+ Receiving Yards (-139)
- Leg 2: Devaughn Vele 45+ Receiving Yards (-111)
- Leg 3: Drake London 70+ Receiving Yards (-160)
Both the Falcons and Saints are 1-2 ahead of this Monday Night Football matchup. The winner will tie Carolina atop the NFC South standings, while the loser drops to third. Instead of worrying about who wins, though, let's target a trio of player props for our same-game parlay.
Atlanta is allowing the most receiving yards per game to opposing wide receivers this season. The defense is also conceding the most targets and the third-most receptions per game to wideouts. So, let's expect both Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele to be productive in this matchup.
Olave has started the season strong, averaging 125 receiving yards and eight receptions per game. He also has at least 86 yards and eight catches in all three games so far. The connection with Tyler Shough is undeniable. Olave now has 85+ receiving yards in six straight games, including last season. He's also averaging 87.3 yards per game in 12 games with Shough at quarterback.
The Falcons, meanwhile, have allowed 100+ yards to a wide receiver in two out of three games this season. The secondary has also given up 67.3 yards per game to opposing No. 2 WRs. That means both Olave and Vele can put up numbers against Atlanta's shaky pass coverage.
As for Vele, he has 172 yards on 15 receptions and 22 targets over the first three games. The Saints' wideout has 69, 64 and 39 yards in these games as Shough's reliable second option. He's also averaging 67.3 receiving yards over his last six games, including last season.
On the other side, Atlanta's top wide receiver can also have a good game. Drake London exploded for 194 yards on nine receptions last week with Michael Penix Jr. starting. The strong connection dates back to last year. With Penix at quarterback, London is averaging 120.7 receiving yards over seven games. That includes 100+ yards in six of the seven games.
Plus, London averages 73.6 yards per game against New Orleans in his career. He also has 70+ yards in five of those seven matchups. The Saints, meanwhile, are giving up 66 receiving yards per game to opposing top wideouts. London should be above that number, considering his rapport with Penix and past success against this defense.
