NFL Parlay Picks – Conference Championships (2020)

Conference Championship Weekend is here, and it brings us a pair of very intriguing matchups. The spreads are on the high side for both contests, but that doesn’t mean the games won’t be stellar. We have seen several surprises already this postseason, and we could be in line for more before all is said and done.

Here’s a look at the two title tilts and a pick for both. All odds are current as of this writing and courtesy of PointsBet

Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs, 3:05 PM, CBS

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: the Titans are big road underdogs, and the general consensus is that they don’t have much of a chance to advance. It has been the same story for the first two weekends of the postseason, but we all know how that turned out.

After heading to New England and knocking out the Patriots as 5-point underdogs, Tennessee delivered an even more impressive performance this past Saturday night. They went to Baltimore as 10-point dogs and promptly took ownership of the joint.

As for the Chiefs, it took a while for them to wake up on Sunday afternoon. The club found itself staring up at a 24-0 deficit before they knew what hit them. They managed to roar back for a double-digit win, a further testament to the potency of the Kansas City offense.

For this week’s matchup, we really couldn’t ask for a better one. We have a smashmouth club which wasn’t expected to make it this far on one side. On the other, was have a high-powered squad which was among the preseason Super Bowl favorites.

Oddsmakers have the Chiefs as TD favorites, but recent play suggests they’re in for a much tougher time. This is a tough Titans team that can bring it on both sides of the ball while being a matchup nightmare.

Tennessee keeps it closer than expected, and an outright upset simply can’t be ruled out.

The Pick: Tennessee Titans +7 (-105)

Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers, 6:40 PM, FOX

Back in Week 12, the Packers took a trek cross country to square off with the 49ers. It didn’t go well. San Francisco took the visitors out to the woodshed and didn’t let up. The end result was a 37-8 victory for the hosts and an incredibly embarrassing defeat for Green Bay.

Since then, the Packers have managed to pick themselves off the mat. The club closed out the year with five consecutive victories, and they opened up the postseason with a tough win over the visiting Seahawks.

While all that was happening, San Francisco went out and had itself a challenging month of December. The team closed out the season on a 3-2 run, but they looked much better last weekend in a convincing home win over the Vikings.

Despite the beatdown the 49ers laid on the Packers the first time around, these two clubs aren’t that far apart. The ground game is strong on both sides, and both QBs can get it done as needed. San Francisco has the overall edge on defense, but Green Bay is far from a pushover.

We have another TD spread to consider here, but it’s tough to see the Packers being blown out again. It’s hard enough to get two wins over a quality club in the same season, let alone steamroll over them both times.

Green Bay keeps it close, and getting the outright win wouldn’t exactly be stunning either.

The Pick: Green Bay Packers +7.5 (-105)
