NFL Parlay Picks: Week 9 (2019)

Four teams on bye and an early London kickoff leaves us with only 10 games on the Sunday afternoon docket. Sounds like the perfect time to take advantage of a relatively short slate and go for the gusto with a 10-game parlay ticket. Here’s a rundown of all 10 games and a pick for each. All odds are current as of this writing and courtesy of PointsBet

Washington Redskins at Buffalo Bills, 1 PM, FOX

The Redskins continue to flail with absolutely no answers forthcoming. The Bills came back to earth last week with a home shelling at the hands of the Eagles. Buffalo’s struggles against the run of late are a red flag, but they bounce back with a big win over a lesser foe.

The Pick: Buffalo Bills -9.5 (-105)

Minnesota Vikings at Kansas City Chiefs, 1 PM, FOX

The Vikings are riding a four-game winning streak, while the Chiefs are trying to maintain in the absence of Patrick Mahomes. They put up a fight versus the Packers last week with Matt Moore at the helm. They’ll do the same here, but it won’t be enough.

The Pick: Minnesota Vikings -2.5 (-105)

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins, 1 PM, CBS

It’s a battle for the basement in the AFC East, not to mention potentially the top choice in next year’s draft. The stakes are high for two franchises with serious problems. It’ll get even uglier in New York if they drop this one, so there’s that to serve as motivation.

The Pick: New York Jets -3 (-105)

Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles, 1 PM, FOX

The Bears have been one of the bigger disappointments of 2019, and the clock is seriously ticking. The Eagles bounced back from a blowout loss to the Cowboys with a big win over the Bills, but consistency is not a strength of this team. Chicago covers and an outright upset is possible.

The Pick: Chicago Bears +5 (-105)

Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers, 1 PM, CBS

The Colts have developed a bad habit of playing down to their competition. See last week’s two-point escape over the visiting Broncos for reference. The Steelers continue to fight in the face of adversity, and we can expect more of the same here. Indianapolis wins a close one.

The Pick: Indianapolis Colts -1 (-105)

Tennessee Titans at Carolina Panthers, 1 PM, CBS

At the midway point of the season, it’s time for these two squads to decide if they are contenders or pretenders. A case can be made for both. Titans plus the points is the call for a game that could go down to the wire.

The Pick: Tennessee Titans +3.5 (-105)

Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders, 4:05 PM, FOX

The Lions snapped a three-game skid with last week’s win over the Giants, while the Raiders have dropped two in a row since an upset win over the Bears in London. This will be the first home game for Oakland since Week 2. Anything less than an inspired performance will raise even more questions for the team to answer.

The Pick: Oakland Raiders -2 (-105)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Seattle Seahawks, 4:05 PM, FOX

A turnover-prone quarterback is preparing to do battle in one of the toughest places to play. That said, the Seahawks have already dropped two at home this season, but those came against quality clubs. Tampa Bay isn’t on that level. Seattle wins and covers.

The Pick: Seattle Seahawks -6 (-105)

Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos, 4:25 PM, CBS

As the cooler weather begins to emerge across the nation, the temperature continues to rise in Cleveland. Matching the excessive preseason hype is an afterthought for the Browns at this point, but there’s still time to show progress in 2019. That should begin versus a backup quarterback in Denver. If not, the wheels may officially be off.

The Pick: Cleveland Browns -3 (-105)

Green Bay Packers at Los Angeles Chargers, 4:25 PM, CBS

Aaron Rodgers has been playing out of his mind the last two weeks, and the Packers are looking like one of the more complete teams in the league to boot. That’s bad news for a Chargers team which doesn’t have anything resembling a home-field advantage. Green Bay runs the record to 8-1 and covers.

The Pick: Green Bay Packers -3.5 (-105)
