NFC heavyweights collide Sunday afternoon when the 49ers (12-5) face the Eagles (11-6) in Philadelphia.

The Eagles are favored by 5.5 points, and the game has a total of 44.5 points. But we’re not talking about the side and total in this game. We’re here to break down a couple of our favorite player props. Let's get started.

49ers vs. Eagles Wild Card Weekend Props

(Odds are courtesy of Hard Rock Bet as of Thursday night)

Christian McCaffrey Over 57.5 Rushing Yards

Christian McCaffrey got off to a slow start as a runner this season, averaging 56.0 rushing yards a game and 3.1 yards per carry over his first six contests. One reason for the sluggish start might have been an injury to TE George Kittle, an exceptional run blocker. Kittle was injured in Week 1 after playing just 21 snaps and didn't return until Week 7.

Since Week 7, McCaffrey has averaged 78.7 rushing yards a game and 4.3 yards per carry. He's run for more than 58 yards in seven of 11 games over that stretch.

Kittle injured his ankle a couple of weeks ago but played in Week 18 and is expected to play this week. San Francisco's road-grading left tackle, Trent Williams, has a hamstring injury but was able to get in a limited practice on Thursday. It seems like there’s a reasonable chance he’ll suit up for this one.

The Philadelphia run defense is good but not great. The Eagles rank 11th against the run in DVOA and have allowed the 15th-most rushing yards to running backs this season.

McCaffrey is averaging 18.3 carries a game this season. Volume should carry the day here and get McCaffrey over 58.5 rushing yards.

Jalen Hurts Under 32.5 Rushing Yards

Hurts is averaging 26.3 rushing yards per game this season (a five-year low) and has beaten this number in eight of his 16 starts this season. So, why do we like the under?

Hurts has averaged just 5.3 rushing attempts over his last six games. And I suspect Hurts won't need to run very often this week against the 49ers.

When quarterbacks run, it's often a result of pressure. Well, few defenses put less pressure on quarterbacks than the 49ers, whose pressure rate of 16.7% ranked 30th, ahead of only the Panthers and Jets. The 49ers have recorded a league-low 20 sacks this season.

Largely because quarterbacks feel so cozy in the pocket against the 49ers, San Francisco has given up the fourth-fewest rushing yards to opposing QBs.

When Hurts drops back to pass, he should have time to throw and probably won't need to vacate the pocket very often. It helps that the Eagles' star right tackle, Lane Johnson, is expected to return from a foot injury.

Take the Under here.

George Kittle Under 59.5 Receiving Yards

George Kittle injured his ankle against the Colts in Week 16. After missing Week 17, he returned in Week 18 but had a quiet game against the Seahawks, catching five passes for 29 yards.

Kittle now faces an Eagles defense that has been stingy to tight ends all year. Philadelphia has given up the second-fewest receptions (67) and second-fewest receiving yards to tight ends this season.

As good as Kittle is, he might not be 100% healthy, and he has a murderous matchup. I think the Under is a solid percentage play.
