NFL Playoff Props: Name The Super Bowl Finalists (2021)

As the NFL 2020 NFL Playoffs resume this weekend, more and more prop bets will hit the market. With no shortage of options to choose from, it’s difficult to navigate the plethora of choices and key in on which actually provide values and which aren’t worth even playing.

One such prop, centered around naming the finalists for Super Bowl LV, offers bettors the opportunity to pick the team from each conference that will simply make it to the promised land in Tampa at no less than 3/1 odds.

Let’s take a closer look at the lay of the land in the “Name the Finalists” market, and see where the remaining value lies.

Favorite Play

The clear favorite and for good reason, the Chiefs and Packers head into their divisional round games this weekend at money line prices of -500 and -300, respectively. With wins, they would perceivably go into their next games at money line prices of around -200 and -150, respectively.

While I do think both cruise to victories this week, both face potential stiff challenges in their AFC Championship matchups despite having home-field advantage. With the clear top two quarterbacks in the game, however, a Chiefs vs. Packers Super Bowl is absolutely the most likely of scenarios.

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers: +320

Value Play

Winners of their final five regular-season games to close out the year before going into Tenessee and getting last week’s Wild Card victory, the Ravens are getting hot at the right time. What quarterback Lamar Jackson lacks through the air, he more than makes up for on the ground, as his 137 rushing yards (1 touchdown) last week propelled the Ravens to this week’s opportunity in Buffalo.

Would there be a more fitting team to break the long-discussed record of no franchise to host a Super Bowl having played in it than the 2020 Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Led by the greatest Super Bowl quarterback in league history Tom Brady, the Buccaneers have also caught fire down the stretch, winning their final four to close out the season. Though it’s just a one-game sample size, Brady leads all active playoff passers with his 381 yards, two-touchdown, zero interception performance last week in Washington.

As both head into this week as 3-point or fewer underdogs, a win by both would set up tremendous hedging opportunities, at the minimum.

Pick: Baltimore Ravens vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +2200
