AFC Championship First TD Scorers: Bills vs. Chiefs

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Buffalo Bills First TD Scorer: James Cook (+430)

While the Bills have possible MVP winner Josh Allen under center, the team has built one of the top rushing attacks in the NFL. Buffalo scored 32 rushing touchdowns during the regular season, the most in the league. They were one of two teams with two players totaling 12+ rushing touchdowns. More importantly, James Cook led the NFL with 16 rushing touchdowns in 16 games after totaling four scores over his first two seasons.

The third-year pro accounted for seven of the Bills' first touchdowns during the regular season and their first score of the Wild Card Weekend matchup against the Denver Broncos. More importantly, Buffalo has focused on the run early in games this year. The first offensive touchdown scored by the Bills has been a rushing one in nine of their past 10 games, including by Cook in the Week 11 win over the Chiefs.

Kansas City Chiefs First TD Scorer: Xavier Worthy (+550)

Despite being a rookie wide receiver, Xavier Worthy has been Kansas City's best weapon in the passing game this season. The former Texas star started his career with a bang, totaling two touchdowns on three touches in his NFL debut, including the Chiefs' first score of the game. The explosive wide receiver led the team in receiving touchdowns (six) and offensive scores (nine), finishing second in rushing touchdowns (three) despite having only 20 attempts.

More importantly, Worthy had the first Kansas City touchdown in four games during the regular season, including the last one with Patrick Mahomes starting, recording a 10-yard score against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. Furthermore, he scored the first Chiefs touchdown in the Week 11 loss to the Bills. Meanwhile, Buffalo has had issues with opposing passing attacks lately. The first touchdown scored against them was by a wide receiver in five of the past six games.
