NFL Prop Bets: Week 16 (2019)
Welcome to Week 16 of the NFL season! A time when the fantasy football season is over for the majority of us and we’re still trying to figure out how to score some extra holiday cash. No fear, NFL prop bets can be the value-added proposition we are seeking.
DraftKings Sportsbook has a ton of options for us to target this weekend. I grabbed my four favorite options for Week 16. So who are we targeting?

James White – Over 38.5 Receiving Yards (-112)
There is a ton to like about James White this week as a pass-catcher. Despite drafting N’Keal Harry and trading for Mohamed Sanu, the Patriots passing game is still searching for pass catchers. White has been a solid contributor this season going over this total in 9 or 13 games. One of those games, against this very same Buffalo team, saw White catch 8 of his 10 targets for 57 yards. Attacking the Bills via the ground game has been a losing proposition for the majority of the season. This should lead to more White and less Michel in this game. Take the over on receiving yards this week!
Ryan Tannehill – Over 1.5 Touchdowns (-112)
Ryan Tannehill has been awesome since taking over for Marcus Mariota. He has had multiple touchdowns in five straight games coming into Week 16. In fact, Tannehill has thrown multiple in all but one of his starts. The Saints, who he faces this week allowed multiple touchdowns in six of their last seven games prior to their match-up with the Colts. Look for Tannehill to throw multiple touchdowns again this week and hit the over.
Ryan Fitzpatrick – Over 1.5 Touchdowns (+103)
Getting plus odds with Ryan Fitzpatrick against this Cincinnati Bengals team feels like stealing. The Fitzmagic has returned this season this time in South Beach, especially over the past month. He has thrown for multiple touchdowns in three of Miami’s last four games. Taking a look at the Bengals defensive stats, you won’t see a ton of quarterbacks throwing multiple touchdowns. That said, this team is bad and most teams usually run like crazy with opposing offenses amassing massive leads. This game will be closer, both offenses will throw plenty. Andy Dalton is also plus money to throw multiple touchdowns. Taking Dalton to go over 1.5 touchdowns could make sense this week also.
Michael Thomas – Over 8.5 Receptions (-143)
Michael Thomas has had an incredible 2019 and is just 11 receptions short of an NFL record. Not only is he amassing a massive overall total but he has been remarkably consistent week to week. Thomas has 8 games of 10 or more catches. This total tops any other player with their 2018 and 2019 totals combined. Now, this week he gets a Titans secondary that has had issues stopping the pass. It looked like Tennessee may get Adoree Jackson back this week to help with some of the secondary issues but he has already been ruled out. Thomas should be involved plenty this week and meet or exceed double-digit catches again this week.
