NFL Prop Bets: Week 17 (2019)
Week 17 of the NFL season is where weird things happen. Teams that are resting their starters find a way to perform well, players that should perform well disappear and other teams sit studs knowing their playoff positions are locked up. This makes NFL Prop Bets even more appealing. We can bet on players we are confident in and avoid flukey outcomes. So which players should we target in Week 17? Saquon Barkley – Under 82.5 Rushing Yards (-137)
The Philadelphia Eagles will be fighting for their playoff lives on Sunday against the New York Giants. Despite his re-emergence over the past two weeks, Saquon Barkley will have trouble finding traction. Facing Washington and Miami in back to back weeks will give any running back a confidence boost. That said, the Eagles will give Barkley a dose of reality this week. Outside of Rashaad Penny in Week 12 and Ezekiel Elliott in Week 7, no running back has eclipsed 70 rushing yards. Barkley will stay below the 82.5 yard total and cash for under bettors!
Daniel Jones – Over 1.5 Touchdown Passes (+114)
As I mentioned with Barkley, attacking the Eagles is best done via the pass. I expect a decent game here from Daniel Jones. He has thrown multiple touchdowns in three of his last four and four of his last six starts. Last time the Giants faced Philadelphia it was Eli Manning under center. Jones will want to perform well and play spoiler to the Eagles. With the emergence of Darius Slayton to go with Golden Tate, Sterling Shepard and others the odds are in his favor. Give me plus money for two or more passing touchdowns for Jones.
Taysom Hill – Anytime Touchdown (+240)
The Saints will be looking to lock up a win and a first-round bye in Week 17 in Carolina. They should also be looking to rest starters as almost two-touchdown favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook. This should mean plenty of Taysom Hill in a variety of roles. This should provide plenty of chances for him to find the end zone either as a rusher or receiver. He has already done so six times this season. I’m banking on him doing it one more time. Getting over 2/1 odds is just icing on the cake. Look for Hill to hit paydirt and cash for his backers.
George Kittle – Anytime Touchdown (+135)
Week 17 means so much for so many teams. The 49ers may have the most to lose as a win on Sunday locks down the top seed in the NFC and home field throughout the playoffs where a loss sends them to Philadelphia or Dallas. George Kittle, arguably the 49ers most important player, must show up on Sunday. Seattle has been atrocious against opposing tight ends all season long and Kittle was unable to go in their first meeting. Look for a big game and a score. He is +950 to score the first touchdown which is worth a sprinkle but I much prefer the safety of an anytime touchdown at plus money.
