NFL Prop Bets: Wild Card Weekend (2020)

The NFL regular season may be over but the NFL prop bets roll on. A four-game slate provides plenty of opportunities to find value and more importantly find winners. This week we target players that may not be household names but they are players that can produce for bettors. Let’s head to DraftKings Sportsbook to see who we should back this weekend!

Devin Singletary – Over 85.5 Rushing and Receiving yards (-112)

I love the chances of a big game here from Devin Singletary who has emerged as a focal point of this offense. The Texans defense that has been awful against opposing running backs this season allowing the fourth-most rushing yards to opposing rushers over the past three weeks. On the season they are in the bottom 10 for rushing yards allowed. They have also been vulnerable to pass catchers at the position.

While I like the over on 63.3 rushing yards, I like the idea of adding the receiving yards option incase this game gets lopsided and the Bills need to throw to make their comeback. He has 5 games with 28 or more receiving yards. With the struggles Houston has had against pass-catching running backs I will take the added insurance for a number that is not significantly higher than the rushing yards total.

Alvin Kamara – Over 55.5 Rushing Yards (-130)

I’m a big fan of Alvin Kamara this week who seems to be getting back to his old self as of late after being relatively quiet for the majority of the season. In his last two full games played, Kamara went over this total and had the Saints not blown out the Panthers he was set to do it for a third straight time.

During the past few weeks, the Vikings defense has been torched by opposing running backs. Both Aaron Jones and David Montgomery went over the century mark. Granted Minnesota was sitting most of their starters against Chicago which helped Montgomery have a big day. Chris Carson and Bo Scarbrough both went over this total in their match-up.

Kamara’s rushing and receiving prop is set at 94.5 yards which seems a tad bit too high. If he is able to reach that number I assume he has around 60 yards on the ground which hits the over here.

With the Saints big favorites at home, I expect to see plenty of Kamara on the ground in this spot. Let’s take the over!

Jonnu Smith – Over 30.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

Jonnu Smith has become a real weapon down the stretch for this Titans team. He had 60 or more yards receiving in Week 15 and 16. Week 17 was strange with the Titans needing to win but facing a Texans team that sat most of their starters. Any Tennessee fan will tell you it can be a real rollercoaster with Smith who has massive games or games where he is non-existent.

New England has been having issues with opposing tight ends of late allowing the position to go over this total in four straight games. With much of their attention going towards Derrick Henry the opportunity should be there for Smith in the play-action passing game.

Travis Homer – Over 23.5 Receiving Yards (-112)

If you had told me I would be excited about Travis Homer in the playoffs as soon as a few weeks ago I would have told you that you’re crazy, but here we are. This is a tremendous spot for the Seattle running back. The Seahawks are on the road to take on an Eagles team that is allowing the third-fewest rushing yards per game per TeamRankings.com. They are, however, susceptible to pass-catching running backs. They have allowed opposing running backs to go over this total in their last four contests and six of their last eight. One of those contests was against this very same Seahawks team in Week 12. Homer has shown his ability as a pass-catcher going for 26 and 30 receiving yards in Week 16 and 17. Let’s bank on him keeping it rolling this week and take the over!

Dallas Goedert – Anytime Touchdown (+150)

The Philadelphia Eagles have a severe lack of pass catchers on the outside, a banged-up Zach Ertz, and are facing a Seahawks defense that struggles against opposing tight ends. In fact, Seattle is allowing the second-most yards per game and second-most receptions per game to the position. I expect the Eagles offense to move the ball and be in the red zone a few times on Sunday. At +150, let’s look for Goedert to find the end zone! If you want to get a little spicy look for him to score the first touchdown at 10/1.

Good luck with the wild card round!
