NFL Week 1 Same Game Parlays & Picks
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
New Orleans Saints @ Detroit Lions
- Leg #1: Saints +10.5 (-185)
- Leg #2: Saints Team Total Over 21.5 Points (+100)
- Leg #3: Amon-Ra St. Brown & Chris Olave 150+ Combined Receiving Yards (-137)
The Saints have improved on offense with the addition of Travis Etienne Jr. and are expected to take a step forward this season in a very vulnerable NFC South Division. Detroit is already getting seven points. Adding a few more points to bring it to 10.5 gives us a little more room for error in case things take a turn for the worse.
The Lions’ secondary is dealing with multiple injuries. Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph are both on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. That could result in rookies having to contain Chris Olave, Devaughn Vele and Juwan Johnson. New Orleans has a much higher team total point threshold than expected. Yet, even at 21 points, that's a total we feel confident New Orleans can reach given Detroit's injured secondary.
The last leg of this parlay may be covered by only one player if the offense is as polarizing as expected for this contest. Each team is projected to score 20+ points, and if that is to be the case, the best receiving options for Detroit and New Orleans are going to shine. Seventy-five yards each for two high-end receivers seems way too low in a contest with a projected total of 50 points.
Parlay Odds: +234
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Cincinnati Bengals
- Leg #1: Baker Mayfield & Joe Burrow 500+ Combined Passing Yards (-121)
- Leg #2: Baker Mayfield 28+ Attempts (-321)
- Leg #3: Joe Burrow 32+ Attempts (-260)
As was the case with the Lions and Saints, it only makes logical sense to take the two players who may impact this contest the most. The total is over 50 points, and we don't expect that to change given the massive production on the ground. Baker Mayfield and Joe Burrow should easily clear 500+ combined passing yards if this game ends with 50+ points scored.
Joe Burrow averaged 32 pass attempts per game last season. The oddsmakers are taxing the point spread in this contest and have accelerated the total attempts to 35. We will take it down a few notches to 32 in case one team is up big towards the end of the game.
Baker Mayfield is going to absolutely sling it all season. Taking the total at 32 makes a ton of sense. However, we don't want to fall short by a pass or two if something unforeseen should happen. Taking some off the top means Mayfield only needs to attempt seven passes each quarter to meet our quota.
Parlay Odds: +170
Baltimore Ravens @ Indianapolis Colts
- Leg #1: Zay Flowers Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+170)
- Leg #2: Zay Flowers 50+ Receiving Yards (-245)
- Leg #3: Lamar Jackson 1+ Touchdowns (-550)
Zay Flowers has been cleared to suit up against the Colts on Sunday. For this selection, we are going to take a straightforward approach for a solid return. Quarterback-wide receiver correlated plays are an easy way to not get too bogged down with the intricacies of sports betting.
All the numbers, narratives, weather reports and coaching schemes fall to the wayside. The plan is simple: Take a little off the top for the yards on a high-volume receiver, incorporate a touchdown and round it out with the person throwing the ball.
It's an all-or-nothing strategy that works best in higher-scoring games, where one receiver is likely to see the most targets. With all due respect to Miami and Las Vegas, we will not be implementing this approach in that contest.
Flowers turned 86 receptions into over 1,200 yards last season. Lamar Jackson sought out Flowers on 118 plays -almost 50 more targets than any other player on the Ravens.
We expect Flowers to get the bulk of the looks in the passing game against Indianapolis, resulting in 50+ receiving yards. Our plan rests on Jackson finding Flowers in the end zone. There's a very good chance of that happening.
Parlay Odds: +226
Cleveland Browns @ Jacksonville Jaguars
- Leg #1: Jacksonville Moneyline (-455)
- Leg #2: Jaguars -4.5 Halftime (-108)
- Leg #3: Trevor Lawrence 2+ Touchdowns (-113)
Sometimes you have to take the obvious approach and not overthink a matchup. The Jaguars are currently 10-point favorites, with a team total projection of 25 points. Taking the spread at halftime along with the full-game Moneyline and sprinkling in Trevor Lawrence to throw two or more touchdowns perfectly ties the complete game line and point spread all together.
Lawrence could be in for an MVP-caliber season, and Cleveland stands to be one of the easiest opponents on the schedule. The quarterback for Jacksonville should carve Cleveland up through the passing game, resulting in at least two passing touchdowns. Lawrence started off last season shaky, but threw two or more touchdowns in six out of his last seven games.
Cleveland simply doesn't have the offense to keep up with Jacksonville. If Lawrence can fire off two touchdowns in the first half, then we more than likely are on cruise control unless something out of a nightmare transpires. You can get bold and take Lawrence for two first-half touchdowns.
Parlay Odds: +202
New York Jets @ Tennessee Titans
- Leg #1: Titans Moneyline (-122)
- Leg #2: Geno Smith 1+ Interceptions (-127)
- Leg #3: Tony Pollard 40+ Rushing Yards (-216)
This parlay aligns with the previous one, with one caveat. Robert Saleh is going to be looking for nothing short of destruction against a Jets team that relieved him of his coaching duties in 2024. It's possible we may see the strongest defensive scheming of Saleh's career on Sunday. He's going to look to punish the Jets in every way imaginable.
That type of playing style can only mean a ton of touches for Tony Pollard. It's very possible that the running back could see anywhere from 15-20 attempts. We only need 40 yards. If Pollard breaks a big run for 10+ yards early on, we are already a quarter of the way there.
Geno Smith was a cash cow last season with regard to betting on him to throw an interception. The team may be different. Yet, the outcome will surely be the same. Smith threw at least one interception in 13 out of 17 games last season, totaling 17 interceptions.
Parlay Odds: +212
Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans
- Leg #1: Texans Moneyline (-102)
- Leg #2: Texans Team Totals (Bands) 21-30 (+135)
- Leg #3: Ka'imi Fairbairn 2+ Field Goals (-166)
Our next contest has the makings of must-see TV, and many are favoring the side of Buffalo to open the season with a win. We are going to take the other side of that coin and back the Texans at home in what could easily be one of the most entertaining games of the slate.
The Texans are once again without Tank Dell (and Jayden Higgins). While Houston would love to have the electric receiver on the field, health issues continue to dim that light. Nico Collins and Kayshon Boutte should be able to open up the Buffalo defense for David Montgomery to make his mark on the run game.
We don't know if the Texans barely reach 21 points or get all the way up to 30. What we do know is they have a fantastic chance of falling in between.
In a close game that involves the Texans, you take Ka'imi Fairbairn. It's just what you do. Fairbairn connected on at least two field goals in all but one game last season. You can't argue with that type of success rate. Fairbairn made two field goals in every home game last season.
Parlay Odds: +675
Atlanta Falcons @ Pittsburgh Steelers
- Leg #1: Steelers -6 (-110)
- Leg #2: Race to 20 Points - Steelers (-152)
- Leg #3: Cooper Rush 1+ Interceptions (-188)
No need to elaborate too much on this parlay. It gets worse for Atlanta by the day, and the Steelers should be looking to pounce on a vulnerable opponent.
Pittsburgh has a major advantage at quarterback despite Aaron Rodgers turning 43 in December. The Steelers are well-positioned to be the first team to score 20+ points, on their way to winning the contest by at least six points.
Cooper Rush played in three games last season for the Ravens. Rush completed a pass to the opposing defense on four plays. The veteran quarterback threw three interceptions in one game.
Parlay Odds: +154
Chicago Bears @ Carolina Panthers
- Leg #1: Tetairoa McMillan 50+ Receiving Yards (-184)
- Leg #2: D'Andre Swift 2+ Receptions (-253)
- Leg #3: Over 5.5 Total Touchdowns (+100)
This is one of the tougher contests to figure out on the slate, whether in terms of lines or props. That said, the selections for this parlay are quite attainable. The stressful aspect will be the six combined touchdowns. A tough number to get behind indeed.
The total is currently at 48 points. Both offensive units are looking to take a giant step forward this season, and that could get started right out of the gate. We opted for the over on total touchdowns rather than taking them separately, since one team could go off for four touchdowns while the other falls short at two. There is no safe side to this selection. We are just trying to take a more logical stance.
The next two legs should be cleared with not much trouble. D'Andre Swift will be used out of the backfield on multiple plays in the passing game. Whereas, Tetairoa McMillan is the main target for the Panthers and will more than likely see around 7-9 targets in a high-scoring game that could reach 50+ points.
Parlay Odds: +286
Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
- Leg #1: Kyler Murray Under 31.5 Pass Attempts (-115)
- Leg #2: Jordan Mason 10+ Rush Attempts (-229)
- Leg #3: Will Reichard 2+ Field Goals (-128)
Kyler Murray takes the reins as the quarterback for the Vikings in what could be a very important year for the newly acquired asset. Murray stands to profit greatly if he can provide Minnesota with stability at quarterback. Whether that would be in Minnesota or somewhere else remains to be seen.
The Vikings may elect to keep things much more balanced on offense. This would certainly limit the amount of passes for Murray. The threshold of 32 attempts seems somewhat ambitious for a player making his first start in an offense that more than likely isn't going to be that aggressive in the passing game.
Jordan Mason is part of a committee of running backs. However, the bulk of the carries should go his way. Aaron Jones enters his age-31 season, and we expect his attempts to regress given Mason's reliability and age. Mason had 159 rush attempts last season, and we expect that number to increase. He should easily reach 10+ attempts in this contest.
Will Reichard should play nicely here as the last leg of this parlay. The young kicker could see a few more opportunities should Murray struggle with chemistry in his first game. Reichard went 33-of-35 on field goals last season, and gets the added benefit of playing in a dome.
Parlay Odds: +294
Miami Dolphins @ Las Vegas Raiders
- Leg #1: Matt Gay 2+ Field Goals (-126)
- Leg #2: Raiders Team Total Over 14.5 Points (-450)
- Leg #3: Malik Washington 2+ Receptions (-484)
Brock Bowers is out, and those who play season-long fantasy football are furious. On the sports betting side of things, some doors do close. But a few more open up. The Raiders losing one of their best options in the red zone should bode well for the first leg of this parlay.
Matt Gay played in 12 games last season for the 49ers and Commanders. He will look to make it a permanent stay in Las Vegas, where he has already made five field goals for the Raiders this preseason - including from 52 and 53 yards.
The Raiders won’t be an offensive powerhouse by any means this season. However, the much-needed (and expensive) additions on the defensive end should give Las Vegas solid field position for most of the game. Unless something catastrophic happens, the Raiders should score at least 14 points. With two or more field goals from Gay, we would already be just about halfway there.
Malik Washington could be Malik Willis’ preferred target by season’s end. Washington is expected to be featured in the Miami offense quite regularly in 2026, and we think that starts with at least two receptions against Las Vegas.
Parlay Odds: +134
Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Chargers
- Leg #1: Chargers -2.5 (-383)
- Leg #2: Chargers Team Total Over 23.5 Points (+230)
- Leg #3: Quentin Johnston 2+ Receptions (-830)
The Cardinals enter the year expected to win around 2-4 games. Hard to consider them a team that is likely to keep contests close. The Chargers bolstered their offensive prowess by adding Mike McDaniel to their coaching staff. Justin Herbert and company should have their way with Arizona.
The Chargers’ team total is a staggering 29 points. While we originally opted for more than six combined total touchdowns, it may be more logical to take the over on 49+ points. Arizona is currently sitting at -200 to score two or more touchdowns. Oddsmakers are backing that possibility strongly. We went with an alt Chargers team total to play things safe.
The last leg of the parlay is centered around two quick passes to Quentin Johnston. This could very well be one we regret not bumping up to four or more receptions, but no need to create two sweats on the same parlay.
Parlay Odds: +525
Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles
- Leg #1: Commanders +10.5 (-225)
- Leg #2: Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-115)
- Leg #3: DeVonta Smith 25+ Receiving Yards (-880)
Quite frankly, this should have probably been the Sunday Night Football game this week. Yet, the networks favored the Giants and Cowboys. The Commanders come into this contest with star quarterback Jaylen Daniels healthy and ready to kick off the season with the additions of some new talent on offense.
We moved up the spread to over 10 for this contest. Yet, we wouldn't be surprised if the Commanders win this game outright. In regard to talent on the offensive side of the ball, Washington is clearly the favorite.
With A.J. Brown no longer with the team, Philadelphia will have to depend on DeVonta Smith to carry the wide receiver room. Smith put up over 1,000 yards on 77 receptions last season, and looks to be in line for a major increase in usage and production.
Saquon Barkley scored nine times last season, and will no doubt get a few cracks at the end zone if the Eagles get within 5-10 yards of the goal line. Anything closer than that, we are probably going to fall victim to the tush push. Barkley produced four touchdowns in seven regular-season home games last year.
Parlay Odds: +236
