NFL Week 3 Same Game Parlays & Picks: Seahawks vs. Commanders
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Commanders
Leg 1: Seattle Seahawks Moneyline (-355)
This selection will be our first correlated parlay, focusing on the Seattle Seahawks in what appears to be a fantastic spot against an injured and struggling Washington team. Without Jayden Daniels at the helm, the Commanders are forced to rely on veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota.
Mariota is a fine backup quarterback. However, taking on the defending champs, who are already 2-0, is quite the task. Washington's defense seems to be giving away points to opponents, allowing over 30 points per game. Seattle scored 31 points against Arizona on the road. As the road team, Seattle clearly won’t be affected.
Leg 2: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+100)
And who is the dominant force in the Seattle offense, you ask? Well, none other than Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He is coming off a three-touchdown performance against the Cardinals. While this is usually a spot you want to fade a player after finding the end zone so frequently, the young receiver is just too good and too important to this offense. Smith-Njigba has four touchdowns on the season, and Washington has allowed seven touchdowns in only two games. There will certainly be an opportunity for him to score against the Commanders.
Leg 3: Jaxon Smith-Njigba 60+ Receiving Yards (-364)
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has accumulated over 275 yards through two contests, while averaging 16.2 yards per reception. The Seahawks wide receiver saw at least 11 targets in two consecutive games and brought in 17 of his 22 targets. Smith-Njigba finished with no fewer than 122 yards over the first two weeks and will face a Washington team that has allowed over 480 receiving yards this season. Sixty yards should be a walk in the park for Smith-Njigba.
Parlay Odds: +164
NFL Week 3 Same Game Parlay Strategy
By Week 3, early-season trends are starting to draw attention, but a two-game sample can still be misleading. Before building an NFL same game parlay, look beyond a player's recent box scores. Consider how they earned their opportunities, what could change in this matchup and whether the available line reflects their current role.
Focus on Opportunity, Not Just Results
A receiver can post a big Week 2 total on only a handful of targets, while another can draw steady volume without a touchdown. Check routes, targets, carries and playing time to see which performances have a better chance of repeating. Those details can help you identify a prop worth building around.
Check How Each Leg Affects the Others
Imagine the conditions needed for your first pick to win, then test every additional leg against them. If you expect an underdog to trail and throw often, its quarterback's passing attempts and a receiver's catches might fit together. A rushing over for that same team may need a different kind of game. Related outcomes can strengthen your reasoning, though they do not automatically make the parlay a good price.
Compare the Payout to the Risk
Once you have a short list of legs, review the combined odds before placing the wager. Same game parlay pricing accounts for relationships between selections, so a logical combination is not necessarily a bargain. If an extra leg adds little value to the payout, leave it off and keep the ticket centered on your strongest Week 3 read.
