NFL Saturday Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets: Browns vs. Ravens
Cleveland Browns First TD Scorer: No Touchdown Scorer (+195)
It's unusual to see an NFL team not score at least one touchdown in a game. However, there have been multiple instances of that happening over the past few weeks. The Browns' offense will be a shell of its Week 1 starting unit on Saturday. Cleveland is down to their fourth-string running back as Nick Chubb (foot), Jerome Ford (ankle), and Pierce Strong Jr. (concussion) won't play this week, making D'Onta Foreman the starter.
Furthermore, David Njoku won't play with a knee injury. More importantly, the Browns will start Bailey Zappe at quarterback, with Dorian Thompson-Robinson possibly getting reps during the game. Last week, the Browns failed to score a touchdown for the first time this season. However, it is the second time they didn't have an offensive touchdown. Meanwhile, the Ravens shut down the Houston Texans offense in Week 17, surrendering zero touchdowns and only two points.
Baltimore Ravens First TD Scorer: Derrick Henry (+260)
Henry has hit all the incentives in his contract, giving him no special reason to score a touchdown on Saturday. However, he doesn't need a financial reason to reach the end zone. The superstar has 14 rushing touchdowns this season and two receiving scores, ranking second in the NFL in rushing touchdowns. Henry has found the end zone in 68.8% of the matchups this season, including 71.4% of the home games.
The future Hall of Famer has scored the first Ravens touchdown in nearly half of the games this year, including last week's blowout win over the Texans. Meanwhile, the Browns have surrendered 13 rushing touchdowns to running backs, the 12th-most in the NFL. More importantly, the first touchdown scored against Cleveland has been by a rushing one in five of seven games since their Week 10 bye, including last week.
Anytime TD Scorer: Mark Andrews (+155)
Many called Andrews washed or over the hill earlier this season. The star tight end had only 10 receptions and zero receiving touchdowns over the first five weeks. However, he has been a scoring machine since his slow start. Andrews has 10 receiving touchdowns in his past 11 contests, scoring in all but two of those games. More importantly, the former Oklahoma star has found the end zone in five consecutive contests.
When the Ravens faced the Browns in Week 8, Cleveland earned a 29-24 victory. However, Andrews did everything in his power to get the win, recording a seven-yard receiving touchdown in the third quarter. Meanwhile, the Browns have struggled to keep opposing tight ends out of the end zone lately. They've surrendered four receiving touchdowns to tight ends over the past seven weeks, including three of the past four outings.
Anytime TD Scorer: Isaiah Likely (+240)
While Mark Andrews has been a scoring machine since his slow start to the season, Likely has cooled off after a massive Week 1 performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, the third-year pro has six receiving touchdowns, the third-most on the team, totaling two more than Pro Bowler Zay Flowers. Furthermore, he has set a career-high in receiving scores for the second consecutive year. More importantly, Likely has been on fire lately.
Last week, the former Coastal Carolina star had a receiving touchdown despite having only one target. Furthermore, Likely has had a touchdown in three of the past four games, including back-to-back outings, despite having only four targets in those two contests. Meanwhile, Cleveland has surrendered only five receiving touchdowns to tight ends this year. However, they've given up three receiving touchdowns to tight ends over the past month, the second-most in the NFL.
