The 49ers have historically struggled in this spot under HC Kyle Shanahan. As a home favorite, the Niners are 8-17-1 ATS since Shanahan took control in 2017. Further, the line itself feels egregious. The 4-4 Niners lack a signature win on the season, and for them to be a seven point favorite is shocking. The appeal of the 49ers is obvious, but the team has yet to reach its full potential, and it is unwise to buy them at a premium Sunday Night. Additionally, this has been a good spot for the Chargers.
