NFL Sunday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Patriots vs. Ravens
The Ravens are fighting to stay in the AFC North and playoff picture, and the Patriots are looking to rebound from a loss against the Bills. New England hasn’t faced the stiffest competition this year, and a win against Baltimore would be one of its best of the season. It should be a close and competitive contest, and both offenses should be able to lean into their preferred playcalling, leading to the following four-leg, Baltimore run-heavy parlay, with a passing prop for Drake Maye to round it out. NFL Sunday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Patriots vs. Ravens
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens
- Leg 1: Lamar Jackson 25+ Rushing Yards (-218)
- Leg 2: Derrick Henry 70+ Rushing Yards (-181)
- Leg 3: Keaton Mitchell 25+ Rushing Yards (-103)
- Leg 4: Drake Maye Over 243.5 Passing Yards (-112)
The Ravens are running the piss out of the ball, and teams are running at an eye-popping clip against the Patriots. According to the Fantasy Points data suite, since Week 11, the Ravens are 30th in pass rate over expectations (-6.5%), and the Patriots have faced the second-lowest PROE (-8.0%). There’s ample meat on the bone for multiple parties from the Ravens to gash the Patriots on the ground, starting with a more nimble-looking Lamar Jackson of late.
In the previous three weeks, Jackson has rushed 15 times for 96 yards (32 per game) at 6.40 yards per carry. According to the Fantasy Points data suite, 10 of those rushes were scrambles for 72 yards. The fact that he also had designed runs mixed in suggests he’s healthier. Additionally, Jackson can pick up rushing yards on scrambles if he’s forced to drop back in a negative game script. Jackson ran for at least 25 yards in all three of those contests, and FantasyPros projects him to rush for 33.2 yards against the Patriots on Sunday Night Football.
Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchell shouldn’t find the sledding tough on the ground, either. Milton Williams was injured in Week 11, and New England’s run defense has wilted in the aftermath. Since Week 12, the Patriots have coughed up 336 rushing yards (112 per game) at 4.87 yards per carry to running backs.
King Henry and Mitchell are in good form entering this contest. Since Week 11, Henry has had the following stats.
- 85 rush attempts (17 per game)
- 421 rushing yards (84.2 per game)
- 4.95 yards per carry
- 8.2% explosive run rate
Mitchell has also thrived as a change-of-pace option. He had the following stats in that five-game stretch.
- 24 rush attempts (4.8 per game)
- 202 rushing yards (40.4 per game)
- 8.42 yards per carry
- 16.7% explosive run rate
FantasyPros projects Henry to record 79.3 rushing yards and Mitchell to log 32. As long as the game script doesn’t immediately get sideways for the Ravens, Henry and Mitchell should be able to record at least 70 and 25 rushing yards, respectively.
New England’s rushing attack has struggled with consistency and relied heavily on TreVeyon Henderson to pop explosive runs. Instead of inefficiently running the ball and hoping for an occasional home run, Josh McDaniels has cranked up Drake Maye. The Patriots have had the fifth-highest PROE (6.1%) since Week 11.
Maye averaged 253 passing yards per game during that period, and he’s averaged 254.8 for the season. Maye has eclipsed 243.5 passing yards in 10-of-14 contests this season, with a median of 269.
The second-year quarterback’s matchup isn’t too daunting, either. According to StatHead, eight quarterbacks have bested 243.5 passing yards against the Ravens this year. Thus, FantasyPros projects Maye to tally 249 passing yards against the Ravens.
