San Francisco 49ers First TD Scorer: Christian McCaffrey (+190)

Unfortunately, McCaffrey has missed most of the season with an Achilles injury. He hasn't found the end zone in his three games this year. However, that will change Sunday night. The superstar running back led the NFL with 21 offensive touchdowns last season, scoring at least once in 81.3% of the games. Furthermore, McCaffrey had the first 49ers touchdown in seven of his 16 regular season games and two of three playoff contests.

San Francisco’s offense has been inconsistent for most of the year. However, their first touchdown has been a rushing one in three of their past five contests. Meanwhile, the first touchdown scored against the Bills has been by a running back in 54.6% of their games, including three of the past four matchups. With Sunday night weather forcing both teams to lean on the run game, expect a vintage performance from McCaffrey.

Buffalo Bills First TD Scorer: James Cook (+310)

One of the biggest surprises this year has been Cook's touchdown production. The third-year pro had four rushing touchdowns over his first two seasons in the NFL. By comparison, he has 10 rushing touchdowns this year, the fourth-most in the league. Furthermore, the star running back has seven rushing touchdowns over his past six games, totaling two or more twice. More importantly, Cook has scored the first Buffalo touchdown in nearly half the games this season.

Not only will the weather play a role in Buffalo's offensive play calling, but the matchup is excellent for Cook. The 49ers have surrendered 12 rushing touchdowns to running backs, the third-most in the NFL, allowing at least one in six consecutive games. Last week, they gave up three rushing touchdowns to Josh Jacobs. More importantly, the first offensive touchdown scored against San Francisco has been by a running back in five of their past six games.

Anytime TD Scorer: Josh Allen (+110)

While the Bills have cut back on Allen's rushing work at the goal line, the superstar quarterback tends to see more volume when the matchup calls for it. Last year, Allen had a career-high 15 rushing touchdowns. By comparison, he has five this season, putting him on pace for eight scores in 2024. However, the superstar has had a rushing touchdown in back-to-back games. More importantly, San Francisco has had issues with running quarterbacks.

Opposing quarterbacks have only 31 rushing attempts against the 49ers this year, the second-fewest in the league. However, San Francisco has surrendered three rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks, the seventh-most in the NFL. All three rushing touchdowns have come over the team's past seven contests, including one two weeks ago to Geno Smith. Don't be surprised if Allen has two rushing touchdowns on Sunday night because of the awful weather conditions.

Anytime TD Scorer: George Kittle (+240)

Kittle has been the 49ers' most consistent player on offense this season. The veteran leads the team in receptions (49) and receiving yards (642) despite missing two games with injuries. More importantly, he leads San Francisco in receiving touchdowns and offensive scores (eight). By comparison, Kittle had six last year. The star tight end is on pace to finish the season with 13 receiving touchdowns, beating his previous career high of 11 in 2022.

Meanwhile, the Bills have surrendered only three receiving touchdowns to tight ends, the 11th-fewest entering Week 13. However, they gave up two of those touchdowns to Noah Gray two weeks ago. More importantly, Kittle is one of the 49ers' best weapons after the catch. Therefore, expect Kyle Shanahan to take advantage of his abilities and build the game plan around him. Don't be surprised if Kittle scores the only receiving touchdown in Sunday night's matchup.
