Week 4 NFL Sunday Night Football TD Scorers Picks

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Green Bay Packers First TD Scorer: Tucker Kraft (+650)

Unfortunately, Green Bay won't have Jayden Reed (collarbone) and Christian Watson (knee) for Sunday night's matchup. However, the veterans aren't needed because Kraft has been the Packers' most reliable weapon in the passing game over the first three weeks. The star tight end was coming off a knee injury last week and didn't find the end zone against a talented Cleveland Browns defense. However, he had a receiving touchdown in each of the first two contests.

Furthermore, Kraft had the first Green Bay touchdown in the Week 1 blowout win over the Detroit Lions. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have struggled to slow down opposing passing attacks this year. They've given up seven receiving touchdowns, the second-most in the NFL over the first three weeks. More importantly, the first touchdown given up by Dallas has been a receiving one in back-to-back outings. Kraft should make it three in a row Sunday night.

Dallas Cowboys First TD Scorer: George Pickens (+360)

Bettors shouldn't be surprised if Micah Parsons and the Packers defense keep the Cowboys out of the end zone this week. Therefore, betting no Dallas touchdown scorer at +950 isn't a bad long-shot bet. However, the Cowboys will likely find some success throwing the ball despite not having CeeDee Lamb because of a high-ankle sprain. Therefore, Dak Prescott will have to lean on Pickens like he did last week, totaling nine targets for the second consecutive game.

Not only did he have nine targets for the second straight game, but Pickens also found the end zone for the second consecutive contest. More importantly, he had the team's first touchdown against the Chicago Bears last week. Meanwhile, Green Bay's defense has been outstanding, surrendering only four touchdowns. However, two of those scores were late in games to wide receivers. Pickens to score the last touchdown (+650) is a solid long shot bet this week.

Anytime TD Scorer: Josh Jacobs (-210)

After spending all week as a limited participant in practice, Jacobs is off the injury report and ready for Sunday night's matchup against the Cowboys. Last week, the star running back failed to find the end zone against an underrated Cleveland run defense. However, he scored a rushing touchdown in each of the first two games. Furthermore, Jacobs is Green Bay's rushing offense, accounting for 87.9% of the backfield's attempts and 100% of their rushing scores.

More importantly, the veteran is also a threat in the passing game. While he didn't have a receiving touchdown last week, Jacobs led the team with nine targets. Meanwhile, Dallas hasn't faced an above-average rushing attack since Week 1, giving up 60 yards and a touchdown to Saquon Barkley. The Cowboys also gave up a rushing touchdown to Cam Skattebo in Week 2. Jacobs should have no problem finding the end zone against Dallas’ struggling defense.

Anytime TD Scorer: Matthew Golden (+230)

Golden has had a slow start to his rookie season, averaging two receptions on 2.7 targets for 22.7 receiving yards per game over the first three weeks, totaling zero touchdowns. Furthermore, he has had only one end zone target and zero red zone targets this year. Yet, Golden was the Packers' best wide receiver last week, leading the team in receiving yards (52). Therefore, the former Texas star could have a breakout performance Sunday night against the Cowboys.

Dallas has arguably had the worst pass defense in the league this season. Furthermore, they've had no answer for opposing wide receivers. The Cowboys have given up six receiving touchdowns to wide receivers, the most in the NFL this year. Last week, Rome Odunze, DJ Moore, and Luther Burden III found the end zone in their matchup against Dallas. Golden has elite speed, meaning it only takes one blown coverage for him to score his first NFL touchdown.
