NFL Survivor Pool Advice for Week 14: Odds, Picks & Predictions (2025)

One of the most popular ways to tout your football knowledge is in a Survivor Pool. Each week you select a team to win their game with the goal of surviving as long as possible. The catch is you can only choose a team once, so it's imperative you think ahead when selecting.

The calendar has turned to December and that means there are only five more weeks of NFL regular season football. Many Survivor Pools have finished by now but for fans in the know, and those to follow along to this article, you may still be alive. Frankly after 13 weeks, the pickings are slim but here are a few plays that should advance you another week.

Week 14 NFL Survivor Pool Advice & Picks

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It's been a tumultuous season for this talented Buccaneers team. Baker Mayfield was an early MVP favorite but his group of star-studded receivers have dealt with serious and nagging injuries all year. The defense has also dealt with a load of injuries which have not allowed Tampa to pull away in their division. With five games left, four are against divisional foes, including three at home, but two are against the Carolina team that is hot on their trail.

In Week 14 they'll play the Saints. It's been a rebuild year for New Orleans who sits 2-10 on the year under first year coach Kellen Moore. They're a team that is looking forward to starting to build up some areas of their roster in the draft and despite some impressive performances this year, they just haven't been able to convert them into wins.

Tampa Bay is about as healthy on offense as they've been all year and I expect them to take advantage of a defense that is giving up almost 25 PPG despite being in the top half of the league in yards per game allowed. The Dolphins were able to run at will on the Saints and with Bucky Irving and Rachaad White finally both healthy, the Buccaneers should pull off this win at home.

Miami Dolphins

When you advance to Week 14 in Survivor, sometimes you need to make picks that seem disgusting. It doesn't get much more disgusting than picking the Dolphins on the road in a divisional matchup. After a loss to Cleveland in October they fell to 1-6 on the season and Mike McDaniels seemed to surely be on the way out. Fast forward to December and the Dolphins are 5-7 with an outside shot at the playoffs.

The Jets won their third game of the season behind a spark from Tyrod Taylor. Still, despite the win, the Jets were outgained by 120 yards and produced 1.5 fewer yards per play than the Falcons. New York took advantage of some short fields to stay in the game with Atlanta and ultimately won the game in overtime.

Miami has turned things around in their season and are the much better team in this matchup. With the schedule likely getting much harder after this week, this is likely Miami's last time as favorites this season. If you've already used all the other favorites this week, you can feel confident in backing a better Miami team than was fielded in the first seven weeks.
