NFL Survivor Pool Advice for Week 6: Odds, Picks & Predictions (2025)
One of the most popular ways to tout your football knowledge is in an NFL survivor pool. Each week, you select a team to win their game with the goal being surviving as long as possible. The catch is you can only choose a team once, so it's imperative you think ahead when selecting.
Week 5 was another bloodbath in the world of survivor pools. Big home favorites like the Rams, Bills and Cardinals suffered heartbreaking losses. Meanwhile, if you went with popular picks like the Colts or Lions, you're moving on. Here are two of my favorite NFL survivor pool advice & picks to help you advance another week.

NFL Week 6 Survivor Pool Advice & Picks
Green Bay Packers
Green Bay was riding high through the first two weeks of the year. Many prognosticators touted the Packers as a Super Bowl contender. Much to many people's chagrin, the Packers had a massive upset loss to the Browns in Week 3. Since then, they finished in a tie with the Cowboys and completed their bye week. Now the Packers return to Lambeau Field, where they have looked like world-beaters this season.
The Packers will host the Bengals. Despite a 37-24 final score, the Bengals went into the fourth quarter down 28-3 and were being thoroughly dominated by the Lions in Week 5. After a few broken plays, the Bengals made it tight but still didn't manage to cover a double-digit spread. So long as this offensive line is “creating” a pocket for Jake Browning, he's going to have trouble against this Green Bay pass rush.
The Packers have averaged four sacks per game at Lambeau Field this season against some formidable foes. They should be able to make Browning uncomfortable all day while also being able to score at will against a defense that has allowed 48 (Vikings) and 37 (Lions) points to the other NFC North foes they've played. As the biggest favorites on the board this week, the Packers are a safe bet for Survivor.
Los Angeles Chargers
There aren't a lot of big home favorites this week, so if you've already used Green Bay this season and need another choice, you might have to get creative. I like the Los Angeles Chargers in this spot against Miami. Now, mind you, this is a tough spot for the Chargers to travel all the way to Miami for a road game, but this Miami team seems lost.
On Sunday, the Dolphins fell to the Panthers in a game where they were outgained by 170 yards by a Bryce Young-led offense. It's hard to imagine the Dolphins have much fight left in them, and the coaching advantage certainly lies with Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers.
After back-to-back losses, the Chargers really need a win, and they'll be desperate against a Miami team that hasn't shown much fight at all this season. The Chargers have looked a lot better than their record would indicate, and I think they run away with this one.
