NFL Survivor Pool Advice for Week 8: Odds, Picks & Predictions (2025)
One of the most popular ways to tout your football knowledge is by playing in a survivor pool. Each week, you select a team to win their game with the goal of surviving as long as possible. The catch is you can only choose a team once, so it's imperative you think ahead when selecting. Despite a big Thursday Night Football upset, Sunday was a fairly chalky day. For survivor pool players still alive, this was a welcome change. Many teams, like the Cardinals and the Giants, tried their best to pull out wins as underdogs, but the big favorites prevailed. If you're still alive heading into Week 8, here is our top NFL survivor pool advice and picks.

Week 8 NFL Survivor Pool Advice & Picks
Philadelphia Eagles
Through seven weeks, there is a good chance that you haven't used the defending Super Bowl champs yet in your pool. They've had a pretty competitive schedule through the first part of the season, and the months of October and November look challenging as well. However, in Week 8, they'll host the Giants in a spot that should be very advantageous.
It's no secret that the Eagles haven't looked right for most of the year, and that's predominantly due to the team’s offensive performance. A lot has been said about Jalen Hurts and the passing game, but he put a lot of that chatter to rest in a 326-yard and three-touchdown performance against the Vikings. Now he'll take on a Giants secondary that is in the bottom quarter of the league in passing yards against.
The Giants, meanwhile, are reeling. All of their momentum from the Jaxson Dart move at quarterback was seemingly stalled when they blew a 26-8 fourth-quarter lead Sunday in Denver. Yes, this team just beat the Eagles in Week 6, but there is little reason to believe that they can sweep the defending champs this year.
With the Packers, Lions, Cowboys and Bears coming up on the schedule, there aren't a lot of great opportunities to take the Eagles. This is a prime spot for a team that looks like it got its groove back. It's the perfect time to back the defending champs in survivor pools.
Indianapolis Colts
If you've already selected the Eagles this season and are looking for another direction, look no further than the Indianapolis Colts. It's time to accept that this team is for real. Daniel Jones has had an absolute career renaissance, while Jonathan Taylor has put together another strong campaign.
Through seven weeks, the Colts not only have the second-ranked offense in yards per game, but they've compiled the best record in the AFC. In Week 8, they'll take on a Tennessee Titans team that I've looked to fade a few times already in survivor pools this year.
For as good as the Colts have been offensively, the Titans have been on the other end of the spectrum. The Titans rank dead last in yards per game through seven weeks. They've shown an inability to move the ball both on the ground and through the air. Despite the Colts showing some weaknesses on defense this year, I don't think that will be much of an issue against a hapless defense like Tennessee. This should be a slam-dunk survivor pool pick.
