San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams
Another Thursday night with a divisional matchup. This week takes us to Los Angeles for the Rams against a 49ers team that is limping into this short week. Given all the injuries for the 49ers, the Rams should win this one rather easily.
Davante Adams is my favorite touchdown play this week. He is dominating the red zone targets for the Rams with nine (47.4%). The next closest player is at two (10.5%). Adams has scored in three straight games. There’s always Christian McCaffrey, but with no Brock Purdy, Ricky Pearsall, or Jauan Jennings, I lean towards the red zone target on the team expected to score more points.
Stick with the Rams for my long shot pick with RB Blake Corum. He has only scored once this season, but has seen an uptick in attempts each week (one, five, eight, nine). Kyren Williams is still the go-to back in the red zone with 10 attempts (55.6%), but Corum has been the only other rushing threat with four attempts (22.2%). This game could end up in a blowout, making the potential for a garbage-time score more likely.
