NFL Week 1 Teasers: Picks & Predictions (2025)
One popular way bettors try to find value on NFL lines is by playing teasers. An NFL teaser is similar to a parlay; you add multiple legs that must all win for the bet to pay out. The key difference from parlays is that a teaser allows you to buy points - like 6.0, 6.5, or 7.0 - in a direction that lowers risk.
Teaser Tips to Follow:
- Never cross over 0
- Tease through two key numbers, ideally 3 & 7
- Tease games with lower totals, ideally anything 49 or fewer
Below are four teaser options for Week 1, along with my best teaser bet.

Week 1 Teaser Options
(Odds via Caesars Sportsbook)
Cleveland Browns (+5 to +11) vs. Cincinnati Bengals
We all know the narrative that the Bengals start slow, but for the first time, we saw Zac Taylor play his starters in the preseason to avoid another slow start in 2025. We also know the narrative that Joe Burrow has struggled against the Browns in his career, with a 3-6 record.
It seems like 99% of fans are down on the Browns once again, and for good reason, but they should have improved quarterback play (at least to start the season) with Joe Flacco under center.
Cleveland’s defense is underrated despite having two of the best in the league in Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward on their side.
From what we have seen in the preseason, nothing has changed with the Bengals’ defense, and it could be one of the worst units in the league once again.
When the Bengals start rolling, their offense is top-notch, but I think Flacco and the Browns can keep this within 10 points and maybe even pull off the outright win.
Arizona Cardinals (-6.5 to -0.5) vs. New Orleans Saints
The only thing that scares me regarding this leg is that 99% of bettors will be on the Cardinals, but for good reason.
The Saints are projected to be the worst team in the NFL, while the Cardinals are favored to make the playoffs.
Spencer Rattler was named the starter for Week 1. In his seven starts last season, the Saints lost all seven games by an average of 17 points.
With a 6-point tease, we just need an outright win from Kyler Murray and the gang.
Denver Broncos (-8.5 to -2.5) vs. Tennessee Titans
I am a big fan of Cam Ward and think he will have a lot of success, but he couldn’t have asked for a worse Week 1 matchup than the Denver Broncos.
Going up against the No. 1 defense with the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in Patrick Surtain II will be a humbling welcome to the NFL.
Denver should have no issues winning this game by a field goal.
Detroit Lions (+2 to +8) vs. Green Bay Packers
After the Micah Parsons trade, it seems like everyone gravitated to the Packers in week 1. While I love this move for Green Bay in the long run, it may have a minimal impact in Week 1. Parsons is dealing with a back injury. Even if he plays, he may not be 100%.
The Lions still have one of the best offenses in the league, and despite Ben Johnson leaving, should still have plenty of firepower to either win this game outright or keep it within a one-score game.
Best Bet: Week 1 6-Point Teaser
Cardinals -0.5/Broncos -2.5 (-125 at Caesars Sportsbook)
