NFL Week 10 Early Lines vs. Line Movement Predictions (2022)

Week 9 saw the Jets win as double-digit underdogs against the Bills, and the Titans very nearly pull the same feat over the Chiefs on “Sunday Night Football.” The Buccaneers defeated the Rams to move back into first place in the NFC South, while the Lions defeated the Packers to help the Vikings open up a 4.5-game lead over the whole division.

Here is a look at some early Week 10 lines and where you should expect them to move.

Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers

The Panthers got destroyed by the Bengals in Week 9. They allowed Joe Mixon to score five touchdowns, as they fell behind 42-7 before the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Falcons lost a nailbiter to the Chargers, and depending on when you got in on Atlanta; they may have covered a 3.5- or 4-point spread for you. The Falcons have been a very popular team to bet on as kickoff approaches, and there is no reason to think that will change this week when they travel to Carolina.

If you’re on the Falcons, get in before this line moves past the key number.

Current Line: Falcons -3

Predicted Final Line: Falcons -4

Seattle Seahawks vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The first NFL game ever played in Germany features the 4-5 Buccaneers favored over the 6-3 Seahawks. The Seahawks have been underdogs in all but two games this season, and they are 6-3 against the spread. They have covered in four consecutive games, winning all of them straight up, despite being underdogs in three.

The Buccaneers finally got a win on a last-second touchdown against the Rams. If this game were being played in Tampa, then perhaps the Bucs should be favored. But with how these two teams have played this season, and with the Bucs coming off a very dramatic win, look for bettors to back the Seahawks as kickoff approaches, potentially pushing this to a pick ‘em.

Current Line: Buccaneers -2

Predicted Final Line: Buccaneers -1

Minnesota Vikings vs. Buffalo Bills

The Vikings are 7-1 and have a 4.5-game lead over their entire division. Meanwhile, the Bills were just upset by the Jets, despite being favored by double-digits at kickoff.

This number opens with the Vikings getting the hook, and do not be surprised to see bettors taking the Vikings as big road underdogs. That should drop the line to the key number for at least part of the week.

On Saturday and Sunday, look for bettors to back both sides, as some feel the Bills are set for bounce back game, and others think the Vikings are being undervalued. That should keep the line right at seven.

Current Line: Bills -7.5

Predicted Final Line: Bills -7

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears

Justin Fields has been playing great over the last three weeks. He has only thrown for 200 yards once this season, but he has been making the right decisions of late and killing teams with his scrambling ability.

In his last three games, Fields has six touchdown passes and one interception, and he has rushed for a touchdown in all three games. He also has 320 yards rushing in his last three games, and he is about to face a Lions’ defense that struggles with rushing quarterbacks.

However, the public has loved the Lions all season long, and they heavily supported them as the kickoff of the Packers’ game approached. Despite the performance of Fields, the Bears are just 1-2 straight up in those games. This line could move to Bears -3.5, but expect it to drop significantly as kickoff approaches.

Current Line: Bears -3

Predicted Final Line:  Bears -2

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams

The Cardinals and the Rams have been two of the most frustrating teams both straight up and against the spread this season. The Cardinals are 4-5 against the spread, with just two of their covers coming in games where they were less than three-point underdogs.

The Rams were covering the spread for nearly the entire game on Sunday, but they managed to blow it in the final second, losing by three as 2.5-point underdogs. While the Rams have been frustrating, they are the home team here. Look for them to see movement in their favor as kickoff draws closer.

Current Line: Rams -3

Predicted Final Line: Rams -3.5

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are still undefeated, and they are starting to see big spreads in their favor. Last week, they failed to cover as 12.5-point favorites in Houston, and now they are favored by 10.5 over the Commanders.

With Taylor Heinicke, the Commanders have been playing well, and they very nearly defeated the Vikings in Week 9. Additionally, the Commanders have been getting a lot of love every week as kickoff approaches. With them getting the hook this week, the same thing should happen again, and the Commanders will see this number drop below 10.

Current Line: Eagles -10.5

Predicted Final Line: Eagles -9.5
